We just stole it after that dust episode. When zombie Kim took it over and we boarded it, we just kept it.
At least that's my favored explanation.

    My thoughts....

We are given Kobali Military uniform, and the ship. That means we were inducted into the Kobali Military..... Now we take orders from General Q'nell as well.

Maybe they are going to start NOT giving a back story as to why. We didn't really get one with the Breen warships either.

Which doesn't really matter. With the exception of the Xindi boats, there hasn't really been a realistic backstory for non-standard vessels since the Galor and D'Kora.

    T6 Bonus Mastery [BRAAAAINZZZZZZ!]

Your cruiser's nacells reach out and grab the enemy ship if it is within 500 meters. The maw of the front of your ship opens and chomps down on the enemy ship's bridge.

maybe its a huge apology for putting up with their asses, combined with a bribe to not bombard them into extinction, combined with a mass 'let these warlike TRIBBLE beta test the **** out of this new design' kinda thing

the one blog post had a bit from a Kobali guy who said something about how the Kobali didn't have the right skills to use it to it's destructive potential.

    It's simple. It's a reward from Q.

Anything you get from Q doesn't need any explanation. He just Qs it into existence.

If this is the reason why we get Kobali and Breen ships, then why don't we get more exotic ship designs like Balloon ships?

The Kim that the Kobali had in stasis is NOT the quantum duplicate.

Captain Harry Kim is the one from the 2nd voyager that sacrificed themselves in order to save the 1st Voyager from the Viidians.

But how can you be sure? Maybe the Voyager that made it home is the duplicate and the Voyager that was destroyed is the original.

Yeah, in the episode it looks like it might be the duplicate that survived, but an FAQ done by the producers said it was the original.

It's a xenomorph shaped ship that was crewed by zombies. IT IS THE ZOMBIEMORPH!!! One does not question the Zombiemorph, one simply acknowledges it and flies it.

It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

Is been liatrally more then a decade since I saw that episode, but I'm prety sure that they were specific about both voyagers beeing "the original" and none beeing "a copy". Kind of like will and Tom riker.

He was cloned via Quantum Duplication.
