R&D system, science tab. You can convert particle traces to slivers which convert to shards which convert to fragments which convert to upgrades.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

You mean the old pre-2014 crafting materials?

Right-click on one and use to open a store that lets you convert them into new crafting mats.

If they are in your bank you might need to copy the stack into your inventory first.

Put them all in R&D bag, get away from Bank, right click use. This will let you to exchange old partial traces in to new R&D matts.

He's not talking about the omega particles he's talking about the older crafting mats before the rnd system change.

OP, sell them on the auction house. It is possible to right click and "use" to convert them to white or green quality mats, but those are only worth 100 or so etc each up to 500ec for the more valuable ones. Old traces sell for up to 10,000 ec each. Way better value than converting.

If you want basic mats, what works better: converting 10 old mats to 10 new mats or selling 10 old mats and buying 300-500 new mats?

    The choice is yours.
