So he started dark and brooding, then they 'lightened' him up, then they made him TRIBBLE, then dark and brooding again.
Full circle.
Whats the next revision gonna bring ?
Well, if you consider the LEGO movie Batman as lightening him up again, then... anyone got tabs on Joel Shuemaker?
I wonder if the vid's creator would be willing to do one about the history of Batman on television. There's been so many iterations there, most lost to time.
The 1st two Batman versions I didn't know where real at 1st, but they are before my time after all. I mainly grew up on the Adam West Version lol.
The 1940s Batman had a lot stacked against it, from what I've read. The show designers didn't really understand the character all that well, and he more or less came off as a street brawler, and more like the other heroes of serial cinema, like D-ick Tracy or Green Hornet, just in tights. The cave, as the video shows, was common furniture. For me, watching other clips, it was rather jarring to see him drive a common car of the day, but I don't think the idea of a Batmobile had really evolved back then. Even so, the show did make an impact in its day.
Well if Ben follows what work with the Character, then I don't see him TRIBBLE up the Batman role. Now the Bruce Wane side of things is a different story. lol
While I am generally not a fan of comic book movies, to include wanting to watch the Batman movies, I felt as a music geek that this would be a worthwhile contribution:

Even in the comics, the first version of the Batmobile was simply a regular car that he owned to drive around in. The second version was midnight blue with the Batman emblem on its front, but it didn't have any particular gimmicks built into it either beyond simply being Batman's car. It wasn't until around 1950 that the Batmobile was really imagined as being something more than just transportation.
i think the last three were good. I hope ben wont destroy the character:(
Not certain how Ben will handle as Batman, but I'll just bring this 'ol bit of history up (again):
It was big news in the late 80s when there was going to be a Batman movie being made. When word got out who was going to be casted for the role of Bruce Wayne everybody was shocked: It was going to be Michael Keaton, a comedic actor of Beetlejuice fame.
Everybody, myself included, was already banking on Batman going to suck just because of Keaton being casted for the role. He just simply didn't look the part of Bruce Wayne!
But when Batman came out, it was awesome. He was great in the role. He did Batman and then Batman Returns, but it was hard to top the 1st movie Keaton starred in. These 2 movies were popular that it spawned the well done cartoon series.
After Batman Returns, then the Batman movie franchise starts going downhill.
Val Kilmer in Batman Forever. Too many big names at the time, not enough screentime for either, on top of a stupid story.
George Clooney in Batman & Robin. This was the lowest point of the movie franchise, Clooney even apologized for it  This movie was bad... TERRIBAD. It was so bad that it single-handedly killed the Batman movie franchise and it would be almost 10 years before it was resurrected with Batman Begins.
TLDR: Hold out hope, maybe despite what many people think, Ben may pull it off. Keaton did it before and he did not have the looks for the role of Bruce Wayne. But he had the help of a good Batman story, a crazy Jack Nicholson as the Joker (love both him and Ledger with their own styles) and a director that was very... peculiar in the movie's vision
