Yeah, but why would the flagship of a taskforce/fleet have the meat shield cruiser command?

You've got +1 console, +10% shields, and -1 BOFF ability.

Even after they loaded, the flashing of them - how quickly they were zipping through - left me wishing I could stop it. :(

Despite the fact you can stop the cycling by hovering your cursor above it, some more convenient way would be welcome. This however is nothing aimed at Cryptic. I'm already glad they added the gifs and hi-res versions of the images as well.

And the upgraded Fleet Tier 5 should also have better hull in general than Tier 6 (+10% normally). Frankly, I consider FT5-U superior to T6. In other words, I love all the freely upgradeable event ships: Risian and Breen (the first two).
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

When do we get some T6 escorts? We now got one Escort, two Science ships and a bunch of cruisers for T6, not counting Lockbox/Events. That's not really fair...

Cool ideas; some variants look pretty good - even original, too - though, definitely not all. Unfortunately for me, I have long since run out of kidneys to sell to be able afford to buy one, let alone bundles or "super bundles" of these. Moreover, sorry: none (look or abilities) are quite impressive enough for the expense, even if I had the inclination. Pretty steep, guys...

    Good luck, though!

Reading some of the posts complaining about the KDF Ships designs, I was struck by the fact that in EVERY game I've played, the Klingon ships look similar in design. So if you don't like them, well I'm afraid that ship as gone to warp 10 a long time ago.

Some really nice designs for the Feds, feels the right mix of capturing the style but evolving it. Good job there. I won't be buying as they obviously are Cruisers built on tanking and support functions. Plus, having to grind out those Command trees to get half the bonus of these ships is in itself going to put a lot of consumers off. Not well thought out there.

I hate to say it, but the romulan ships do look the bgest, the klingon ships are coming along nicely, but come on cryptic.. the fed command ships look like kludges made out of a 30 year old lego set while you were drunk on jaegermeister all week, did the spices bruise up your minds a little bit. Improvement needed.

Dammit Cryptic. Why do you have to have customization options now of all times? I know I said you do it and I'd give you all the monies, but right now I don't have any!

:) On the more serious side, this is an awesome pack and you should feel good about yourselves. Thanks very much. I'll definitely find a way to get me these.

So far I can't really say I'm impressed. They look ok, but some of the design choices are... meh. It looks even more like a bloated whale than the Odyssey does (the Starfleet version anyhow). Also with me spending less and less time in game with each patch I can't justify getting these. Got far more important things to spend 6K Zen on, I mean what is that? Like £50 or something?

Cryptic, if you want Joe Bloggs to go dropping cash like that on "mircotransactions" or unlocks can you please ensure that we actually have CONTENT and people playing the PvE queues to make it worthwhile!

Regarding the lack of T6 escorts, weren't the majority of T5 ships available ESCORTS? If anything, science vessels are lacking in the availability dept. for all factions (endgame at least, the Vesta pack and K-Carrier ). Sure, Feds have at least had access to science vessels (and a lot more than KDF, but klinks aren't really the science-y type) but the only Romulan science ship that we've seen has been made into the 400-day Vet reward.

Also, why should one set of T6 cruisers get a 5/4 weapon loadout when the Guardian, Eclipse, Qib and Aelahl warbird (all cruiser-type ships and T6) only have a 4/4 loadout? It's really much harder than you think to write, upload, implement and test a few (hundred?) lines of code - because you know how this community harps on about "game-breaking" bugs, and if you don't, you should consider yourself blessed.

Finally, the art dept. is one completely different to the ones that hunt down and squash bugs - another reason why there has to be careful testing of any new code.

I'd rather have more fixes and patches plus a upgrade of T5u to T6 for my tactical odyssey (mastery trait + maybe 1 more console slot or a hanger bay)...that's more worth it than these ships and their price tag..

I'm totally excited for new ships annnd will probably aim for getting them all. Buuut, I have to agree. We should be able to 'drydock' our ships we don't want in the current rotation or some other option. Esp. since fleet ships can't be decommissioned. Sure, oddy, vesta, any of those c store ships can usually be dcomm'd and then reclaimed later if you want, but we need a 3rd option beyond buying more ship slots to...you know... encourage people to keep buying ships. I'm willing! But some type of storage would be nice.

I love the Romulan ships. I was debating wether to invest upgrades on my Scimitar or Faeht and then I saw those beauties... I will waiting before I invest more in my current ships.

At first I didn't really like the Klingon ships (my main being Klingon tac) but they're actually growing on my. Not unlike the Qib that I really found ugly at firs but I love now. In fact when I look at my Krenn time ship I can clearly see that some of the new ships are going in that direction. It is actually nice to see the evolution of those ship designs. Good work Crytpic. I can wait to be in command of one of those ships! This is crazy but I feel like a kid again.

first, THANKS for the animated GIFs showin us all the ways to customize those vessels, that was badass cool :) Fed ones look pretty slick this time, the Klingon ones Im a bit torn on the bodies all look good (if gorn inspired imo) but 2 of the 3 "heads" are kinda meh imo. The Romulan ones LOOK EPIC SWEET, even those with the scimitard inspired wings they still look fairly good!!

Sadly I still refuse to pay $30 for pixels so itll be months of dil grind before I can drive one.

    edit:
AND THANK YOU FOR NOT GIVING THE FEDERATION MORE SHIPS/OPTIONS THAN THE REST OF US FINALLY!!

The escort issue is also one of lacking a suitable Specialization for, as least, for Feds and Romulans. KDF, sure, but not likely.

Intel-wise, Both Fed and Rom already have the full Intel Phantom and Faeht. Any future Faction Escort release of the Intel line will likely only be Lt Hybrid Intel for those two (and probably a close copy of the Manasa, which has Lt. Intel). KDF could use a full Intel Escort/Raider, but I suspect any Escort/Destroyer/Raider equivalent would only be Lt Hybrid; non-Specialized.

Command is not exactly Escort friendly; and a full Command Escort would just have players pissed off because the Cmdr Tac seat is also the Command Hybrid. A Science Command ship wouldn't be ideal either; since while Command is all about support and minor debuffing, it takes away from their stronger base Sci skills. However, there's always the future possibility of Lt. Hybrid Command seats on non-Specialized ships. Overwhelm Emitters or the torpedo boost Command skill would augment Escorts and Sci ships pretty well, without interfering with their primary roles.

Really, Command pretty much serves as better Engineering-based skill set; you can have your Cmdr Engineers replace that useless Rank III skill with any one of the more preferable Command abilities. Which makes it a perfect fit for Cruisers. And in this case, it's pretty good that the ships in question are Cruisers. In fact, I suspect it was partly created this way so they wouldn't have to go back and rework the otherwise useless Rank 3 Engineering skills.

Still, I'm expecting that Cryptic is waiting on a 3rd Specialization before they start releasing a T6 Flagship. Intel would likely go to the Sci variant, Command to the Engineering variant, and a future Specialization to the Tac variant. Reason I say Intel to Sci is based on the setup; Intel is Offensive/Debuff Tac/Sci, Command is Defensive/Support Eng/Sci, so it's possible that the next specialization could be Offensive/Tank Tac/Eng, and better suited for frontline duty; like a Vanguard (and would work well with Escorts and Cruisers predominantly; likely with built-in threat bonuses to draw and hold aggro). Of course, if Cryptic would instead release some Primary Specialization that is Offensive/AoE and is primarily Sci-oriented, Intel would go to the Tac variant and the new specialization to the Sci variant.

    Dear Cryptic,

I know you hate science ships, and adding 2ndary deflectors is about the only thing you ever plan to do with them. Even so, I'd just like to point out that there are those of us who love to fly them. And if you made a sci ship with a 4/2 or 5/1 weapons loadout, a turn rate of 13, a shield mod of 1.45, with 4 or 5 tac consoles...there are those of us who would be on it like flies on stink.

But until that ever happens, I will be flying a T5U Fleet Recon Sci. Because it's the next best thing to that which you have not yet seen fit to bestow upon the ZEN store.

    Sincerely,

    Everyone who loves science+DPS builds.

Very nice guys. Normally I'm not interested in buying the big ship packs as there's usually only 1 or 2 ships I even remotely like. But this one.. this one I'll get the entire pack for. The designs look great, like a lot of the others have said already.. Can't wait to test these out.

$30.00 is just too damn expensive for a Space Toon.

I don't care about the "Discount" cause even that is waaaaayyyy over priced!

I let myself get suckered into buying the Intel bundle, but ended up going back to flying my Vesta.

In My Opinion, They are just not worth the asking price.

Interesting analysis, but what it seems to boil down to is "command powers suck so bad that the only thing worse are engineering powers. Thus any ship with command powers is weaker than a ship without them unless it is an engineer command slot."

Now, what I think would make an interesting science ship would be:

    T4: universal / commander
    T3: science
    T3: tactical
    T2: engineer
    T1: universal / commander

    3/3 weapons
With secondary deflector, sensor analysis and the inspiration mechanic of commander (similar to the scryer Intel ship).

Basically a non-carrier version of a recluse built for command.

Mine Dilithium -> Refine Dilithium -> Convert to Zen
Optionally, make your eyes bleed and your alternate email for spam overflow with the Zen offer Wall.

Now all you have to do is play the waiting game. Which is another thing Cryptic loves.

Additionally, you get with this Anniversary; and a bit of time-gating:
    - Free Kobali Uniform
    - Free T6 Cruiser with LT.CMDR Hybrid Command (the second ship in-game to have an Lt.Cmdr Hybrid seat at all)
    - Kobali Engine, Deflector, and Shield.
    - Omega Upgrade

So you're hardly out of options, and there's definitely a way to get Zen for free. It just takes TIME and PATIENCE.

They just gave away two t6 ships for free (sarr theln, and samsar), plus the other two breen ships are free t5u.

The dilithium event was extended to a week. If you earned 8k dilithium for the whole week on just one character and bought zen at the current 170:1 rate that's 47 zen a day or 329 in the week. Let's say after the event you drop down to only being able to earn 5k dilithium on one character, or 29.5 zen per day. You can buy one of these ships on Friday May 15.

If you had a second character able to do the same, you'd be able to buy a bundle of three on that date or one ship on Monday march 16.

    Pass!

I also think the Inspiration meter is off-base.

The point of a command ship is to coordinate the battle, not to merely inspire others to fight harder. In DS9, when Jem'Hadar fire is rocking the ship to and fro, you never saw the crew of the Defiant looking out the viewport to admire the pretty new Sovereign class and resolving to repair everything faster.

Who comes up with this stuff? Is it because you already blew through the proper use of this on cruiser commands and needed to make a new mechanic?

I agree, it should of had a debuff type ability that puts a target reticle that flashes on the target ship for all players in the team to see, like how in pvp people do the macros to say "fire at this target" but with a visual marker and it debuffs the target slightly, that sounds way more like a Command Ship ability, giving the team orders, could still of had 3 debuffs like how the current version has 3 buffs, something like 1 that reduces target dmg, 1 that reduces their healing/tanking ability, and 1 that reduces their speed/turn rate!

Less ships and more content is this so hard?
Stop milking the last remaining players in this grindfest of a game you called Star Trek Online.

You don't listen to your community at all, you just like the people kissing your behind.

Remove PvP totally and make some fleet raids or something, release MORE CONTENT and not features like R&D, Specilization Tree, Reputations etc. that takes so much farming and grinding.

You loosing so many players each day, start listening to your community!!!!!

It's unbelievable how this game have changed since 2012. The fun is totally gone!!
