I'm sure it is an oversight. Did anyone catch the phrase Battle Cruiser? I'm hopefull that this means a 5 fore/3aft agile ship setup. Plus since there is 3 variants boff and consule layouts appropriate for each career type.
I did notice the point where they said the new abilities were battle altering, and that scares the heck out of me. I have fears these ships could be so overpowered to a battle, that you will either have to buy them to play or leave the game.

People were saying the same thing about the expose vulnerability stuff. That turned out to be an exaggeration. It was good, but not game-changing good.
For anyone who knows what they're doing targets die before they even get enough expose counters, the only exception being boss ships like the voth dread or borg diamond.
I really hate how Rommies get gimped on cruiser commands. We should get them too. Sci warbirds get Active sensor lock ability, ENG based warbirds should get cruiser commands, and Tact warbirds should get something else. The sing powers while nice, do not alone make up for the reduce ship power and loss of cruiser commands.
Frankly I'd rather have the singularity powers over cruiser commands. Their utility comes in more handy for me then just going, "Oh yeah I gotta change auras like a paladin from WoW."
Probably an oversight, but if these ships are as big as they seem and as I think they are - it wouldn't be unheard of to lack a cloak. For ex. the Vo'Quv doesn't have one.
The cloak is overrated by players in this game anyway. I'm all for it for the KDF and RR factions due to thematic reasons, however no real "game breaker" especially in terms of ships like these.
The Romulan ships will almost certainly come with battlecloak, as all Rommy ships do.
I'm with shpoks on the KDF ships. It doesn't really matter. If they do come with cloak, it'll be a standard one, and therefore of extremely limited usefulness. I think I've used the cloak on my Bortasqu' maybe once in all the time I've owned it.

I was thinking that too. I don't own one but I don't think the Bort has one either. Do any of the KDF battlecruiser have a cloak? I don't know as I have never flown one, I prefer my Vo'Quv which I moved to from the flightdeck cruiser so used to not having a cloak on my KDF characters.

All Klingon made ships (not all KDF mind you) have access to some type of cloak except the carriers. (Vo'Quv, Vod'leh, Kar'fi - although the Kar'fi has the phase-cloaking console)
All the battlecrusiers have standard cloak, so does the Bortasqu' - although the Bortas is an exception with it's cloak being somewhat less effective that the rest of the standard cloaks. Which means it has less stealth value and can be detected at longer range compared to a....let's say Vor'cha that has equal stealth boosts enabled.

Ah well then maybe when more details come it will say about the cloak. I tend to prefer carrier play so haven't really looked into them.

The Bortas is not exactly small though and has a cloaking device.

And the post of mine you quoted was made before today's blogs were published, so we still weren't 100% sure wheather these ships will have a cloaking device or not even though I expected it to be like this.

Nope, but I did notice this bit...
"Keep your eyes peeled for a follow up blog for these awesome new ships that will reveal their stats, console abilities and starship traits!"
...and if there's no cloaking ability for them with that blog, then I'll notice it.
Yeah, I suspect it was just an oversight... KDF ships without cloak are not unheard of, but there's no way a Romulan ship cannot have a cloak...

Hard to keep my eyes peeled for this one. If I *don't* see anyting, *then* I will know they have gotten a cloak. :P
