so looking at the command ships, seeing there are three ships for every faction this time, like people have been asking for, for so long!
so im scrolling through the comments on the post, expecting to find most people saying that they are happy that there will finally be a ship for each class, tac, engi, and sci, but what do i find? people complaining that they do not like the design, or people complaining that they cannot upgrade their ships to T6, hell, there was even one post complaining that the Scimi, Oddy, and Bortas cannot use command abilities.
we finally get a pack that satisfies all the things lacking for Romulans and Klingons, which is sci ships and more ships in general, here they come with a pack that does not favor the feds, but instead is equal to both feds, roms, and KDFs, and you guys STILL find TRIBBLE to complain about.

If you want good STO discussion, go to r/sto at Reddit. Criticism is fine there, and well-thought out and civil criticism there is upvoted all the time. The OMG CRAPTIC U SUCK EVERYTHING U DO IS A SLAP IN THE FACE nerd rage (like you find here on the official forums) is downvoted into oblivion, and don't have to read it.
Devs even post on r/sto all the time because they know every comment they make won't be twisted into something bad, and they won't be ganged up on and personally insulted like they are here.
Please tell me where in the News Release for T6 Command Battlecruisers that there's going to be Science Vessels. Or Carriers. Or Escorts. Or a Bird of Prey for the KDF... These are all Cruisers. And it doesn't fix the gaps of ships in the KDF and Romulans.
I eagerly await your illuminating answers.

no it does not fix the gap between ship numbers of the KDF/ROM and FED, but we both know that will never happen, and for the sci part, i am simply talking out of experience, since they have always added a ship for each class with these bundles (dyson, scimi, oddy, bortas, andorian, all have at least one ship that is focused on sci over anything else)
i would just like to input, that the "look nice" part cannot really be used as an argument since beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. when the Avenger came out, the thread was full of people saying that it was ugly, but i thought it was gorgeous

thay have failed to fix any of the above things you speek of that's why complaining continues even quiting now to find a game not broken is better than a game that more time spent dealing with whats broken then enjoying the game
You don't understand... these are all CRUISERS. These packs are essentially going to be the 2015 version of 2014's DSD pack. Those were all Sci Vessels.
These BattleCRUISERS are all going to have Cmdr Hybrid Command/ENG stations. Not Cmdr Hybrid TAC or SCI stations. All Engineering. This does not cover the gaps in ship types in the KDF and Rom T6 list.
Surely your "Experience" saw all this?

Oh, and can folks stop calling them Battle Cruisers? They're Flight-Deck Cruisers. Hangar, Attract Fire-Shield Frequency Modulation...tada, Flgiht-Deck Cruisers. Battle Cruiser? No Hangar, no Attract Fire - they sport Shield Frequency Modulation, Strategic Maneuvering, and Weapon System Efficiency. Yeah, I'm a stickler for things like that...
...which also means not only did Feds have Cruisers and Dreadnought Cruisers, then picked up a Battle Cruiser, but they now also have Flight-Deck Cruisers.
So yeah, it's closing the gap...of the ships the Feds don't have. :rolleyes:
EDIT (BEEEEEG EDIT): I just realized something, lol. I totally missed it originally. They can't be Flight-Deck Cruisers...they can mount DCs. So much like the Eclipse Intel Cruiser was its own thing, these Command Battle Cruisers are their own thing...bits and pieces put together, eh? Wonder if the KDF boats will have cloaks and the Rom boats will have battle cloaks...
...but yeah, I take it back - these aren't FDCs...they're their own thing. Tricky, Cryptic, tricky...I'll get you next time!
I haven't seen one positive comment yet about the Klingon ships, and far more negative than positive about the Fed ones. Compare to the response to say, the Guardian or the Mat'ha or the Samsar, and I think you can generally say some are 'good looking' and some aren't.
And honestly Cryptic could have simply attached these new Command boffs and Inspiration mechanics to T6 Fleet versions of the Odyssey/Bortasqu/Scimitard and people would have been deafening themselves with the cheering. Instead, this.

You may be surprised how classic the canon KDF ships are well liked. Vor'Cha, D-7/K'Tinga, Negh'Var, and the B'Rel have an avid following. When you browse around for Star Trek models out there, you'll see these canon ships well represented. Most especially the B'Rel.
Well, that's what it says on their news release, VD. It's what they're officially called :cool:

KDF ships tend to look like warships, awesome imho - not like the poopsquirt Fed boats...

Oh my god the forums if there was a T6 scimitar? Please, there's enough complaints about the T5 on. And then all the complaints 'I just paid for this bundle and for the T5-U Tolkens, and now I have to rebuy it at T6 (a valid complaint, I grant)? You should know, there's no pleasing the forums.

However the KDF, looks like something from a Lego movie. Or someone beat to death with an Ugly Stick. So I will never buy that junk. They should kept the same idea like the Mogh. Good thing I hadn't bought one yet. I will buy it over this TRIBBLE.
Looks is really an opinion. I don't want my KDF warrior flying around in some pile of rubbish.

Oh there's no doubt it would be stupidly broken, more absurd than this game already is. But if they did a T6 upgrade to the Bortasqu and Odyssey and didn't included the 'Tard, all the 'Tard pilots would flip out, and to be fair it IS the Rom flagship. I mean I have zero respect for 'Tards and 'Tard pilots, but fair is fair even when its unpleasant, and I really do think people would be thrilled if they could simply upgrade their Odysseys and Bortasqus for just a 5U token and Fleet Module and put those starbase shipyards to use rather than the 'buy everything again!' idiocy Cryptic is trying to push.

As for the ships, they look fine to me visually, but we haven't seen the stats yet. Regardless, not something I would buy. I don't want to catch a VD.
