It's unfortunate that the Command Ships have such a defensive/support focus, considering the heavy, pure dps focus this game has always had, and especially since the difficulty changes of Delta Rising. It's possible that one of the Command Ship variants might have a more tactical focus (more tactical BO seating, tactical console slots, etc.), but that won't change the fact that the weird "Inspiration" mechanic requires the use of Command BO abilities to function, most of which, as I understand it, are fairly underwhelming, especially from a dps standpoint.
This is likely more to benefit grouping for the queues, hence the support focus. As well, most of the abilities further help tank solo or as a group.

Additionally, it's not like one can't kill most endgame NPCs on Normal (if they have even a half-competent build; though it's still shocking how bad some players are), so the DPS argument is really only if one just wants to remain hardcore enough for Adv or Elite mode content, or just want to get through Normal content faster.

The part i don't like is if i can only afford 1 ship now, and buy it later on i can't buy the bundle that contsains it. WTH? you don't want my money? Am i to be punished becuase i don't have 120 dollars to buy all 9 at once? This is forever TRIBBLE the little guy at cryptic and it needs to change if i decide to buy one ship for 3k zen now and then bundle up later then oh well i get the discount instead of buying each at 3k per.

It's called "The special limited time offer is only available for a limited time"

As much as I love my Fleet Mogh-U...I for one like some of the KDF command cruisers. these may be what it takes to get me out of my Mogh.

Meh... Who cares? Im picturing a cat walking away from an explosion, calmly, and for a brief second those ships fly through his mind and the cat just thinks it was gas because he really doesnt care.

There is nothing special about them. Command abilities can be nice but really its too much. Most people cant even train DOFFs in Intelligence yet. Now you have Command. Do you think there is going to be a high demand for this new specialization?

And why havent their been Intelligence scienceish ships released for the KDF faction? That should be more important than releasing fluff content that is no better or worse and looks the same as most of what is out there.

Ok first I think the Fed and Rom ships look nice, but the KDF are hideious.... I mean really?!?!?!

Second.... a nine pack bundle?!?!?! Not that again.

Look I'm all for new ships, and I'm glad that there are 3 command ships for each faction, but really? I mean didn't we all get hit for $125 - $150 already for delta not that long ago? And now there are new T6 ships?

Cryptic I know you have to make money, but listen to the players when they say "Hey charge us to upgrade our favorite ships to T6". You'll still make your money if you do that, and cut back on labor. I mean it is obvious from the designs of the KDF ships that they were kind of rushed or not well planned out.

Uh, I personally think more effort went into the Romulan designs this time. Feds just reused an entrant design from the Enterprise contest (specifically, the Fuzzyprise). You do have a point with the KDF though. Looks like a repurposed Bortasqu

The big problem I have is that both ROM and KDf vessels look all to much like what has been given to Star Trek gamers in other games hence my comment that very little time has been spent on them. Whoever is designing ships at Cryptic needs a labotomy after comming up with the design for the KDF Charlie Fox.

There are so many people out there who have great, no fantastic, designs for ships and Cryptic routinely drop the ball. I meen wouldnt presonal pride have dictated a much better design than that, Cryptic should be ashamed for the damage done they are doing to the IP.

while some of the romulan variants look pretty good. the fed ship variants look like a mix of good and awful. kdf just looks awful.

I think my wallet will be staying firmly shut once again.

DR and now these. your not doing very well out of me in the last 5 months. considering I've bought a stupid amount in the past.

The fact is that if they'd made a three-pack of each with a Tactical, Engineering and Science variant (as in, Tac Eng and Sci Commander slots and appropriate Console slots) this might have peaked my interest.

As it stands £100 is absurd for nine cruisers with practically no variation in terms of Boff seating and Console layout.

Consider, Cryptic, how many people bought LoR and DR packs compared to how many bought the Dyson Destroyers Mega Bundle. Hint; I bought LoR and DR pack. Still don't own the DSD pack though.

    Food for thought.

Because Command ships in real life and sci-fi are usually specialty cruiser ships. With larger ships such as battlecruisers, battleships, battlecarriers, or carriers also being able to perform the role.

Of course, there are occasional exceptions; where some sci-fi games have a tiny dedicated Command vessel; but those are usually fragile and just there to support fast-attack vessels. So while we might not see a full Command Escort (which would be hilariously useless), we could see an Escort with an Lt Command hybrid seat.

I was going to say that + the orion vessels all jumbled together, than throw in a little Vor'Cha & K't'inga & Negh'Var for spice!

Well at least the Federation ships fit the design aesthetic established for Starfleet ships over the run of the Star Trek franchise.

I would buy these as I usually buy all the bundles but because of the specialization needing such high amounts of XP to level its not possible. By the time I would have the 1.5 million skill points to put into the command tree the ships will probably be marked down and on the next ship sale.

Cryptic messed up when they put training your bridge officer behind this spec point grind wall. I could buy these ships and have no way to train an officer to use the special seats. Of course there is the free kobali dude but then you're stuck with what he comes with or the three common options at the recruiter. I already am screwed since I bought the intel bundle and will have to use the preset choices with those.

Cryptic, I will gladly buy these if you change the training process for bridge officer specialization otherwise forget it. Training your boffs should unlock when you unlock that specialization with your first point not ten points into it.

As far as being unable to train BOFFs in Intelligence (and Command), that's false.

For around 300k on the exchange, you can buy a Specialization token under the Intel tab to traind any Boff into Intel (they all come with the same basic Intel set). Then you just search for and pay for the Rank III abilities you want/need.

Command also already has some Rank III skills and the Specialization token available on the exchange as well. Those were going for 1M or so for the Command Spec and more than that for Rank III skills.

It's really just a matter of how badly you need those Rank III skills and the Specialization PADD. The Specialization tokens are Ultra Rare in color and rarity, if you need help searching them up.

So if you really want Intel SROs, you can now do so if you don't already have the DR bundle BOFFs (or if you want more in any case).

Delta Rising Pack for 12,5k ZEN:
    - 9 T6 ships with unique mastery traits
    - 2 uniform sets
    - 3 upgrade kits
    - 3 ship upgrade tokens
    - 3 intel boffs (account wide)
    - 3 unique doffs (account wide)

T6 Command Ship Pack for 12k ZEN:
    - 9 T6 ships (with unique mastery traits??)
    ....
    ....
FED ship variants look fine, Rom also .... KDF ... uhm .....
    ....
    ....

    did I miss something?

    My two cents:
    1) those KDF ships need to be rebuild from scratch
    2) 3x3 ships for the price of two full AAA games is too much. Sorry.

Fix those price tags on T6 ships in general and scale them down to the current T5 level (2.5k ZEN).
Scale T5 ships down to 2k ZEN - or include a Fleet Module and T5-U Upgrade Token

    3) If you really, really want to release the pack in its current state for 12k ZEN: run a sale and add something to the pack like 20 Lockbox Keys or something else worth about 2k ZEN. ;)

I would like to see a change in how ships are sold. Can we have ships sold by Bridge Officer layout only? I am tired of having to buy a pack of ships just to have all of the pieces available to mix and match. I don't like and am not going to buy 3 ships to get the look I way I want it!

    I'll start with the good:

    1) Pretty nice blog. I'm glad there are hi-res pics of all variants (or many, anyway) available. Also includes price.

    2) Pretty nice FED and Romulan ships, with a rather healthy dose of options for customisation.

    3) Not only FEDs get new ships.

    And now the bad:

    1) Not a fan of adding another new mechanic. I've only recently started to really use Singularity abilities. After a while, it gets complicated micro-managing all of those little bonus abilities the new shinies get - the more so when the new abilities are limited to just a handful of ships (I don't even recall what the intel ship mechanic is called now).

    2) That's a lot of cruisers. At the same time, KDF still has NO T6 Bird of Prey or Carrier. Heck, I could even complain there's no new Orion, Nausicaan or Gorn ships. Speaking of Gorn, still no sci ships for either ROMs or KDF (and both BoPs and Carriers were as close to sci as pure Klingon vessels get - also absent from Tier 6).

    3) Err... even well after my first look at the KDF ships, they're still pretty bad. Even looking at the gifs, there's perhaps one or two variations that might be watchable for more than a minute, the rest though... it's like the next level from the Avenger. You want a lego battlecruiser? The Avenger is still too elegant? Here you go!

That pretty much sums it up.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

That's um...curious. Not what I was expecting in the least. The hangar bit that is. Those particular Cruiser Comm Arrays. Those aren't Battle Cruisers. They're Flight-Deck Cruisers. Was wondering when Feds would get those too, since they already had the Cruiser, Dreadnought Cruiser, and had the Battle Cruiser added. Does this mean that the KDF will get a Dreadnought Cruiser at some point?

    But yeah, wasn't expecting Flight-Deck Cruisers...hrmmm...

EDIT (BEEEEEG EDIT): I just realized something, lol. I totally missed it originally. They can't be Flight-Deck Cruisers...they can mount DCs. So much like the Eclipse Intel Cruiser was its own thing, these Command Battle Cruisers are their own thing...bits and pieces put together, eh? Wonder if the KDF boats will have cloaks and the Rom boats will have battle cloaks...

...but yeah, I take it back - these aren't FDCs...they're their own thing. Tricky, Cryptic, tricky...I'll get you next time!

All have hangars I might just be tempted out of my Vesta and get one for my Rom. However I may just hold out for a fulkl carrier for all factions. Will have to wait and see what they look like in game and not just the pics.

The problem is yes they put hangers on all of these ships, and then they nerfed all the hanger pets. hanger pets now put out less DPS then they use to. This info is on the new Podcast.
When will the insanity stop, Please just let us play the game and stop giving stuff one day & then taking away twice as much the next day, this nerfing thing is getting very old.
IMO I wish they would fix the problems in the game before they bring in more new stuff that doesn't work, every time I change toons and go to the ship all of the boffs are missing hard to do battle that way.
In other words there is no point in buying the new ships when the old ones still don't work. Once again just my opinion, sorry about the rant, have a nice day.:(

    Put simply...

    FED, yes. ROM, yes.

KDF... Most of those KDF ship designs are truly hideous.

Suddenly, my T6 Tron-skinned ships don't look so bad anymore...

Glad to see variations being offered so a player can customize the ship to fit their style.

Fed - Looks good for most part.

    Romulan - Looks really good.

KDF - Someone brought out the ugly stick and beat it to death? I would never trade my K'Tinga or Kamarag for these junk. I rather spend Zen on the Mogh instead. At least it looks better.

Still no T6 BoP for KDF? This would be a time to bring out the K'Vort.
