Uninstall or Keep Playing Sto? Pros and Cons anyone?

    Keep the game, but find some other game to switch over to.

    Keep it around if you think it's temporary but find something else to do. Otherwise if you need space, uninstall STO and enjoy different things.

    Just stop playing. No need to uninstall, unless you really need the free space.

    I really like this game 3 years ago but now all the bugs and the lag and top that off zone chat is not working :confused: over a month ago I also left my fleet...

    Leave, if you're not happy. Take a break till S10 perhaps.
    If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

    Well I for one am seriously considering either long break or just uninstalling.

    Everything since DR has been to destroy what little there was to enjoy in the game, turning something I enjoyed into a massive grind with no end in sight.
    Bugs that never even get acknowledged let alone fixed.
    Nerfs to rewards all over the shop.
    Grinding required for pretty much everything.
    Difficulty settings thrown all over the place to try and make the game more challenging.
    Time gates for everything to try and get people logging in more.
    Changes to minor things in game that have no positive effect to the vast majority but yet are considered "quality of life improvements".
    Dead PVE queues.
    Lack of end game content.

    And now even the once every couple of month events players look forward to are being destroyed...and for what? A few metrics to get people online more? Or to line the pockets of the publishers with more $$$'s?

    I just don't really play anymore....

    I sit waiting for queues to fill up, or for time-gates to finish, or to move sliders along to pay for things...

    +1 ... if you're interested in Stuff you can always log back in for 1-2 days ... just did it myself to get the Kobali Ship, was thinking about playing more frequently during "Dil Weekend" & beyond, but they royally screwed that up for me ... so back to other Games ... having more Fun in Early Access Games "Version 0.0.1" right now ...
    Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

    Take a break for a while. Go do other stuff. People seem to agonize over leaving STO, as if it has to be some sort of irreversible, life-long decision. Just stop logging in, and either you'll feel the urge to come back at some point, or you won't. I've taken breaks from STO ranging from weeks to months in the past. The game will most likely still be here if and when you decide to come back.

    Just take a break for some weeks and come back when you feel like playing again.

    Go to your chat options menu and make sure you have the tab you want to see Zone chat in selected. Then go down the list of channels and make sure "Zone" is checked off. I have a feeling it got unchecked on you somehow.

    Don't spend money.

    Don't buy the new command ships coming shortly.

    Do grind the new free ship. It will lower the revenue metric.



    In all honesty, I feel stupid. Each an every time I buy something in game, they TRIBBLE me elsewhere in the game. I feel for the devs and moderators, but it's clear...

    Cryptic doesn't care.

    Quit. Take time off. Play a single player game. STO will still be here if and when you decide to return.

    I am able to use Zone chat. But I can't see anyone else's Zone chat.

    Since last patch in Zone chat and it is quiet now too quiet...
    Ever since then. I have not seen anyone else's Zone chat. And not sure what has happened.
    I only have changed the two settings to only receiving for challenge invites and teaming up for
    fleet and friends only.

    I didn't adjust any of the chat settings.

    Just finish downloading SWTOR... debating quit this game for star wars :D

    But if you fill in questionnaires/watch adverts for Zen, or trade Dil for Zen, you're still funding the game - PWE get paid by the advertising company and someone has to buy the Zen. Even if you are just sitting around jawing in ESD you are making the game look more popular and active (Even amusingly enough if you are slagging off the game).

    The only winning move is not to play.


    (I thoroughly enjoy the game myself, so... Yeah).

    Most people I know turn off zone chat on purpose. I agree do look and see if it got unchecked on you.

    As/for fleets, there are plenty of good ones take a look down in the appropriate sub forums for recruiting posts and join a new one.

    It I suspect that taking a break might be good for you as others have suggested. Check back with season 10, and maybe you'll feel better, or maybe you'll find some other game that works better for you.

    I'd say find a new fleet or take a break for a while. Don't uninstall you can then always come back if you ever feel like it. I hope we soon get some real new content and it's worthwhile playing STO again....
    THE NEW CRAFTING SYSTEM IS TERRA-BAD
    First of all it's not even a crafting system! It's just a dumb game system that's nothing more than a glorified slots machine.
    second the "special items" you hope will be the saving the saving grace are messed up to.

    I like TOR... but it's not really comparable to STO.

    there are other games that are more fun
    they look better, run more stable, have less bugs and at the end of the day you dont feel like being robbed

    i was here for 45 - lvl 50 changes and this delta stuff is much much worst in a game the is driven by alts and I got to say it sucks big time... makes me wonder why there isn't a xp pool that is for all toons like legacy system in star wars the old republic its is beyond me for stuff after lvl 60:(:confused: put into the game...
