Thanks for it and the interesting Omega upgrade system. What was the rationale for not including crafting XP rewards for running Omega projects? If possible, I'd like to get XP for Omega Projects.

Happy Anniversary.

With most things in R&D you gather "free" mats, devote the time of your crew to crafting items, and you end up getting the item and crafting XP.

So why shouldn't you get crafting xp for this?

Ditto; after all, we can only USE the particles through crafting, and they WANT us to use crafting, so at least 1 point for each particle/shard processed would not kill them... :(

We decided not to give R&D XP for these projects, because we could not do so equitably. We had to stick them into a school, and chose Science because it's thematic. But if they rewarded Science R&D XP... well, what if you're working on Ground, or Shields? We don't have an Event mechanic that gives R&D XP for those schools, so why should Science get preferential treatment?

It was easier and more equitable to leave it out. The kits are enough of a reward on their own.

    Agree.

As many problems as I have with the game currently, this is something that I personally don't see as one of them.

    Interesting; thanks for the explanation.
