Sol Space and Bajor Space Omega Molecule: Problem Sovled

alchevsk1992alchevsk1992 Member Posts: 280 Arc User
For sol space just go to the Academy and run to where Ferra is, there will be a the omega molecule, if you don't see it just change instances until you find it there.

For Bajor Space you have to do the Mission "Crack in the Mirror" in the Cardassian Episode Tab. You have to get the Bajor space portion of the mission. After you get the particle just exit the mission and don't drop it. keep it you will need it again if you have to do the bajor space particle again.

CORRECTION - I was wrong. I apologize to those I offened.

You can resolve the mission Omega particle by running the mission Crack In The Mirror. YOU WILL NEED to make sure that it is set as your active mission. Then play through it to the point where you are sent to Bajor. Upon warping to Bajor head twoard the planet. You will need to fight the ships in the area BEFORE you try to scan the particle that you should find around the shipyard.

Good luck. It took me 5 runs to finally resolve the issue. So be ready to run the mission as many times as needed to resolve the mission Omega particle bug. Hopefully they'll have this fixed soon.

I still have had no luck resolving the ESD (Space) one but try the method that is recommended and good luck.

This Does Not Work. You are a TROLL. I have video to prove that both suggestions do not work.

I am not trolling, i did work, for me and for other players.

Yes, I just did this workaround and it did work. At least the Bajor part.

The problem is how many players have characters not at the level to do the mission?

Not to mention its supposed to just freaking work, not require an in-the-know bypass. I mean ya can't even drop and retake the mission cause it just gives the same thing, its ridiculous.

The one with the space sol system is tricky. If it didn't work in space, it will work in the starfleet academy where Ferra is located. The hard part is you have to keep changing instances and go to where Ferra is until you find it.

Skip the missions in the Cardassian mission tab until they get to that mission, if it is possible for them.

Please just stop. Stop TROLLING. The methods do not work. I have ran them both multiple times and each time they failed to provide a resolution to the issue.

    I did it and worked.

The Omega particle at the academy is not always by Lt. Ferra. Sometimes, it's by the Mark Valentine Memorial. Sometimes, it's at the big Starfleet Emblem in the center of the map.

I tried the Omega Particle by Ferra and it worked. Thank you. Took about 8 different instances to find it.

If you haven't done all the episodes before Crack in the Mirror, you will have to "SKIP" ahead all the previous missions until you get to that one.

This allowed me to play Crack in the Mirror.

    Good Luck

The only way I figured it out was one of my fleet members told me to do that mission to get it. As for the sol space one, i got it from a random player.

Can confirm that this is a valid workaround. It's total BS that we even need one as the playtesters should have caught that the omega molecules were added to the wrong map.

I guess everyone s**ts the bed once in a while and this event has more than its fair share.

Jeeze they need to either extend the event or hotfix this somehow. I just tried to get my chores done on 4 different characters and every single one of them was sent Bajor. If they expect me to grind I expect the grind to work thats the deal. Idiocy.

It works, but I would play through to the end. There is some good info on the Iconians that wasn't there last time I played this mission. I wonder if this bug was intentional...hmm..

May I reccomend that people team up with players from their faction that are not of the level to do the mission?

This fix was posted over 60 hours in the "official" bug reporting thread for this... and some forum mod thought it would be a great idea to delete it because it was a double post.

The community learned a work around to fix the issue days before they even acknowledge the problem exists.... teamwork!

So since I have a job and can't stay online for hours getting to the point where I can use this workaround that should not be necessary anyway, I assume that I will be given the needed 40 qmendations for today from the game mods, correct? I mean this should have been fixed a while back and this is a time-sensitive scavenger hunt so I would expect them to make this right for their players, right?

    ...right?

Edit: Yup, found a solution. Drop the mission and go back to Q and hope he doesn't send you someplace that's not working.
