I've uploaded on Imgur album here with screenshots of tooltips.
I'm hoping to get a little clarification on why Neutronic, unlike all of the other torps, has it's damage per torpedo boosted by Torpedo Spread.
Let's say a standard Quantum Torpedo does 1000 damage. When you activate Torp Spread, it'll do something like 700 damage, but that is 700 x4, per target. The damage of the individual torpedo is lessened, while overall damage is increased due to multiple torpedoes. As far as I know, this is how all torpedoes behave. However, Neutronic doesn't seem to follow this baseline.
In my screenshotted example, you'll see:
- Standard Quantum: 5002
- Standard Gravimetric: 4500
- Standard Neutronic: 6092
- Torpedo Spread 3 Quant: 2882 x4
- Torpedo Spread 3 Grav: 2612 x4
- Torpedo Spread 3 Neut: 7333 x3
Overall TS3 boost:
- Quantum: 11528. 230%
- Gravimetric: 10,448. 232%
- Neutronic: 21,999. 361%
Things to note here:
- Neutronic is doing far higher damage with TS3, compared to the average 230% increase that the other two torpedoes get (the 2% difference between them can be attributed to rounding)
- Neutronic only has a x3 hit, whereas a Gravimetric or Standard has a x4.
- The Quantum was a Mk XII [CrtD]x3 and both the Gravimetric and Neutronic were the Mk XII you obtain directly from the Rep Rewards, no upgrading.
- Please ignore the failtastic build, that was just for testing
So, again,
why is Neutronic giving a far higher boost with Torp Spread? Is this WAI? Even with this higher damage multiplier, it doesn't explain the Neutronic magic of taking you from full hull and shields to 0... or does it?
(I posted this in the PvP section because A) the PvP community is the one most likely to do testing and the one that is directly affected by this
I'd like to get other people to confirm this people making a big(ger) stink about this and official bug reporting it C) who hasn't complained about Neuts in PvP?)

Was a thread created in the Gameplay Bug Reports section linking to findings in three different posts that were linked/quoted in that bug report.
