The Vaadwaur Lockbox supposedly has some new doffs in it. Any info on them yet?

pretty much stuff that already exists with the addition of being a combat specialist in both space and ground against vaadwaur.

I.E. Doff that spawns mortars... also does X damage to Vaadwaur in ground.

Yeah but the lockbox blog said these new doffs had Crafting abilities, and I was curious as to what.

I popped open one Doff box and got 3 Purple Doff's one had R&D Torpedoes, one had R&D Science and i don't recall the 3rds. They each had 5 traits and were mixed specializations.

Long story short, you get three Purple DOFFs each with a R&D School. Basically flooding the market now with R&D DOFFs.

Can you post the names and professions of the DOFFs?

There are more than 200 individual Doffs, so listing them by name may be a tedious endeavor.

You will find at least 4 variants for each R&D School, with specializations that also work with R&D projects for that school.

In addition to the R&D specializations, all Kobali Doffs have a "Vaadwaur Survivor" bonus which grants you additional damage vs. Vaadwaur on both Space and Ground (regardless of which active roster region they are slotted into).

Just looking through the exchange, I'm guessing there isn't a set number of 6-12 DOffs, like previous Lockbox Packs. Just perusing through the Engineering DOff professions produces dozens of random Kobali DOffs, with a few different R&D specializations depending on the DOff profession. I think that the Kobali pack is probably meant to be more like the DOff packs from the C-Store, which draw from a much larger pool of non-unique DOffs.

This makes documenting individual DOffs from the pack a rather futile task. We could however list the R&D specs for each profession of Kobali DOffs.

EDIT: Ninja'd by the DOff master. :)

I found a few of the ones I've listed on the exchange with the same R&D School, so I guess you could look for them, maybe see which one is more common for the R&D School you need

Ah okay. Had been under the impression there were some unique ones for crafting specialty items akin to the Xindi ones that allowed [arc] weapons and Particle Exciters and such. Thanks for the info.

Those are them. It's the R&D Spec that enables these special recipes. Kobali have those.

Is there still no Aegis doff? As far as I know the only way to get one is STILL by running the Request R&D Assistance mission, and getting one there seems to be like winning a ship from a lockbox.

I understand wanting to give those that invested in the original crafting system an advantage, but I think this has gone on long enough.

Can we at least get a list of which specializations to look under if we want a specific R&D school? Also, the Kobali ground warfare specialists don't seem to come with an R&D school. Here are two examples that I found:

    J'Tynsen (KDF)

Mr. Borticus, in the Doff window we can filter Doffs by race, trait, specialisation.

Can we have a R&D filter added to this, if I for example, want to have all VR or UR R&D Doffs listed?

    Would be great, thanks.

I have a long list of R&D doffs on my R&D Spreadsheet. From what I could find on the exchange over the past two days, there are now over 500!

Correct; they have nothing other than their R&D and bonus against Vaadwaur.

These are the Kobali DOff specializations with their R&D schools that I've found by perusing the Exchange. For specializations with multiple R&D schools listed, only one comes with each DOff (i.e. one Energy Weapons Officer DOff will have the Beams school, while another will have the Cannons school):

    Tactical
Energy Weapons Officer: Beam Weapons, Cannon Weapons
    Shield Distribution Officer: Shields

    Security
    Armory Officer: Projectile Weapons
Assault Squad Officer: Ground Equipment, Shields
    Security Officer: Engineering, Projectile Weapons

    Engineering
    Damage Control Engineer: Engineering
    Diagnostic Engineer: Ground Equipment
    Fabrication Engineer: Cannon Weapons
    Matter-Antimatter Specialist: Engineering, Science
    Systems Engineer: Engineering, Shields
    Technician: Beam Weapons
    Warp Core Engineer: Engineering

    Operations
    Deflector Officer: Science
    Explosives Expert: Projectile Weapons

    Science
    Development Lab Scientist: Cannon Weapons
Research Lab Scientist: Engineering, Science, Shields
    Warp Theorist: Engineering

I'm assuming that the other DOff specializations don't have Kobali DOffs from the pack, and can be ignored.

Just a note, those two DOffs don't come from the Kobali DOff pack from the Vaadwaur Lock Box. They come as a reward from one of the missions in the Kobali ground zone launched with Delta Rising, so they won't come with R&D schools.
