I was checking out the pve queues, whats active and what is'nt.
In all theres 71 pve missions in the list if my counting is accurate, and i counted only 16/71 which were active.
All the rest were dead, zero in the queues.
With all this nerfing going on and taking the proper rewards and fun away its no wonder.
What is Cryptics goal here?
Why would someone increase prices and cause an exodus from the game, what is cryptics logic here? why are they doing this,is it to reduce the playerbase before shutting the game down?
Surely it makes better sense to cut prices so they are more affordable and increase the playerbase in doing so?Bring back past rewards that players love. Reverse all past nerfs and bring back the fun in this game. Bigger better rewards are needed to attract new players and past ones.
Stop the Nerfing.
Why would someone increase prices and cause an exodus from the game...
Exodus? LOL. More people are playing now than usual, because of the 5th Anniversary event. So if what you're saying is accurate all it means is they are doing other things, like hunting Omega, instead of joining PvE queues.
P.S.
5:35 PM for you, in whatever your timezone is, is not peak time for everyone.
You used to be able to judge the player base on the activity of PvE ques, but you're correct in your observation that's no longer the case. I personally stopped playing this game after the last patch, the crafting system is horrible, and leveling to 60 is impossible unless you can spend several hours a day grinding away for horrible experience. I have been on to get the Qmendations for the T6 Science cruiser and now the anniversary ship. Once I get this ship I'll be off for a few more months until they give me a new free ship.
Enough of my ranting, the PvE ques are too hard, people don't know how to play them because we aren't provided instructions on how to do so. And the Advanced PvE ques were seemingly designed for players with 50K+ DPS. Elite Ques, to my knowledge, still don't exist and never will since people don't bother with them anymore.
I'd imagine most people are curious if this game came redeem itself or else this may be the last anniversary event in its short history.
The op is right in that there are only some 20 missions that are truly active. However, there's more than plenty of people online for the anniversary. Can't some of you people "GET A LIFE!"
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
it is true that most queues are dead, but the ones that offer most reward for minimum time investment are healthy as ever.
Most MMOs actually have that problem, that players are very selective with the content. Some missions are naturally preferred over others.
They could always either a) give any mark at any queue, thus people can do some queue and still get their wanted marks (romulans anyone?) or b) remove the old queues and make 4 new space ones and 4 new ground ones. Each queue gave a choice of any marks.

Yes, Cryptic is trying to resolve that particular problem by bringing up difficulty and nerfing rewards for most played missions.
They could done it in another way, by bringing up rewards and nerfing difficulty in least played contend but they decided for first-mentioned approach.
Max. One-Hit: 114,966 (Quantum Torpedo - Salvo II (Federation Typhoon Class Battleship))
right.....theres massive rubberbanding in ESD because there are so few players
Rubberbanding is due to a lot of player coming at once, and a recent change. The devs weren't clear, but a script is turning for every character logging in, doing some lag.
My bet on the BOFFs revamp.
Doesn't mean we have more people than past events. It just mean the servers are really busy with the ones online.
I'm too lazy to find the Borticus quote.
But yeah, the event is very successful. Doesn't mean the queues are full. Since the event is not related to them at all.
