New Vaadwuar Lock Box: Opening 320 Video

If you wanted to see what you might experience when opening some of the new Vaadwuar Lock Boxes, well I have the video for you. In this video I open 320 Vaadwuar Lock Boxes and afterward take a look at what we get inside.

Probably the oddest thing we find inside the box are the new Vaadwuar Polaron weapons. I'm not sure if it's just me but the English used to describe their special effect seems very poor. What do you think they mean by this proc? I will run some experiments with these new weapons in some upcoming videos, if we don't figure it out by then.

    I really, really, like the Escort, but there's no way I could spend that type of money (never been much into gambling) But it seems like you might have been lucky getting it after only 20-odd boxes (26?), seeing as you didn't get another from nearly 300 more boxes you opened (not counting the lower class APU).

    Are the odds normally that low? I've heard other people mention that it normally takes 50-100 boxes to get 'The Ship'.

    I'm glad I watched the vid though cause now I definitely won't be giving in to the temptation to try to get the escort, so thanks lol.

    His "bad" luck doesn't necessarily reflect the odds...it's going to take a far, far larger sample size to lock in on it (pun intended). And I have opened more boxes than that when I used to spend money on the game, over my entire time of being in the game and never once ever got The Ship.

    Your success rate is about 1 out of 240 boxes. This average doesn't change depending on how many you have already opened, its a constant average, unless the devs make an adjustment to the numbers. The best way to think of it is flipping a coin, you always have a 50% chance heads 50% chance tails. You could open 2 boxes and get 2 ships and your odds would still be the same on the next box.

    Unless Cryptic nerfed the odds (very doubtful they would do)

    These odds might be based off of what has currently been happening in the game but the larger the sample size gets the closer it will get to that 1/240. If you were able to go behind the scenes and look at the math you would see a constant number for each box opening.

    I would love to hear from all those engineer folks out there and what they think of the most recent ships being released. As I am one of those engineers, I am slightly saddened of how they release engineer based ships but Tactical is still king.

    I wont touch a ship unless I have at the very least a CMDR LT tactical slot available. What do you all think of the current class situation in this game?
