You will either require a person whose a science officer to craft it for you or to buy it off the exchange now.

You can possibly buy it off the exchange. Or you can ask a kind sci cap'n to craft it for you.

I posted one on the exchange for 499,999.99, but I'm sure the price is lower now.

Hmm, I wonder if I should have tried to make ec selling skill manuals... No, it would cut into my safty dancing time.

manuals cost 200 dil and mats to make... takes 30 mins... unless you spend even more dil.

that slot takes up a space I could be using to further increase my skill level...

so how much does 200 dil converts into EC?

frankly all captain trainable skills should of been able to generate training manuals that are bound for just ec cost... that is for training your own Bridge Officers.

this cost of 200 dil for a manual is pure suckage.

Tiger, I wouldn't word it exactly the same but I also dislike the dil cost. That said, we can now train our unique un-tradable boffs in mk III skills from other classes now.

    edit: doff ==> boff

Yay! And for that "feature" you now get to spend 200 dil a pop to train all your other boffs, which may not have been efficient before but it was totally free.

No, there are 3 ways to get it:

    1. Have a Science Captain craft it for you.
    2. Buy it off the exchange.
    3. Switch to a Science Captain toon, craft it yourself, and either mail it or put it in your shared account bank so your other captain can get it.

Nelen Exil having it just means you don't need to train him in it. Your other BOffs still need it though if you want them to be able to do GW3 as well.

If you don't want to spend dil, spend ec and get it off the exchange.

Do 1 academy question. Craft 2 padds. Have a bit of dil left.

Now, the specialization token need 31K dil. That's something else entirely, but the generic padd ? Lol.

It's not about just the 200 dil. It's about the nerfs, and the reductions in rewards, the sinks...the timegates.

With each and every monotization the players sit back and take, it begins to have an accumulated effect. A year ago, we could all just play the game and the levels of paying for stuff had a reasoned sense to it from the players's perspective. Post DR, all we're getting is non-stop having to pay for this and that. It's like no one is understanding that we literally just had abilities taken away that we're going to be paying for in some way later.

It's just non-stop, full steam ahead with these guys and I'm watching their greed destroy a game I loved. So, sit back and do nothing on this. Say nothing the next time, the next or the one after that until it personally affects you as a player. Then, as you hit your own limit with this stuff, you too will come to the forums...but hardly anyone will be left.

People need to start seeing that STO has become this warped expereiment and the players are the monkeys being tested on. So no, I won't stop it. I'm calling out greed because that's what it is whether you personally choose to see it or not.

And 200 dilithium is a drop in the ocean for the ability to train a Boff PERMANENTLY in a given skill...

Do one single round of the Dyson Battlezone and you'll have enough Dilithium to craft somewhere between 10 and 20 skill books if you take down all 3 VRexes...

Holy TRIBBLE you're being melodramatic... I swear I could hear violins playing while I read that, I really could...

Until such time as players are being forced to pay their hard earned cash (and no, dilithium is NOT real cash) for basic content, this sort of nonsense is all just bloated hyperbole...
The entitlement is strong in these forums...
