Cross Breed?

So, have the ships in STO started cross breeding?

    You know...I hadn't been able to figure out what LaughingTrendy was talking about, about the very design of the Kobali ship being unsettling, but I think now that this may be it--that the Kobali knowingly and intentionally plagiarized.

    It's...not great if it is indeed this kind of kitbash but I am at least glad that storywise the devs thought through the reaction and knew what they were walking (dead) into by doing it.

    He's talking about a Vaadwaur ship, not Kobali. :P

    You left out the JHAS...bug resemblance.

    Looks like those DEVs are running out of Design ideas...same ships come back to life :D

    Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out the Iconians, brain bugs, or some other faction managed to leak some Federation/KDF designs to the Vaadwaur and they came up with a hybrid.

    That makes sense. One of those re-done Undine missions had a mock invasion by Iconian doppleganger ships from the Alpha Quadrant to provoke the Undine further, so they know the designs already.

    They all use the same technology so in a world of engineering they would tend to look the same. In fact you would probably see even less differences than you see in Star Trek. Maybe Roms should look different because they use Singularity Cores which may need more or less bulky clunky TRIBBLE around them...
