Console – Universal – Regenerative Integrity Field
When activated it provides a large hull heal that improves in strength as health decreases. In addition, it causes all outgoing directed energy attacks to heal your starship for the amount of damage dealt. This console also provides a passive bonus to hull healing.
Emergency Response (Starship Trait) - While this trait is slotted, your hull and shield heal bridge officer abilities will have their recharge times reduced by 10% if you suffer damage while below 50% hull health. This can occur once every 4 seconds.

Great.... pair that with other things on Romulans and the Scimitar becomes even more OP..... albeit the trait may also be cool on escorts...

anyway it reads like another bit of balance just got tossed out of the airlock. If there was any left at all.....

(nice ship graphics though....)

The console sounds like a nice defense console - but who needs more defense?

The ship trait of 2 seconds off heal cooldown IF below 50%. How is that worthwhile?

The ship trait can proc every four seconds as long as you are below 50%. Combine that with other BO ability reducing skills/traits/doffs or whatever and you make a2b even more powerful. It's pretty much like a failsafe to a2b......especially that console. Just put it on a 30k+ ship.......

Yeah I can see the console being just the thing for a fragile ship.

It's seemed to me for some time that they've been trying to create faux atb with many recent additions, however they take up so much space I find it hard to believe they are an improvement.

I've never run atb so I guess I can't comment. I'll just point out that it's vanishingly rare to be under 50% for 4 seconds.

So now I'm curious. If a vaper is firing self healing beams out against a target dishing it back with FBP. Which takes priority? Do you still have a dead vaper or does the heal offset some of the reflected damage? Or does the heal happen before the damage is reflected and end up wasted?

Seems like a possible console that I would install on my T5u B'Rel Retrofit BoP if I can fit it in there somehow...

Indeed, the trait does seem terrible. It would only be useful if:

    1) You are below 50% hp
    2) Your heal abilities are currently on cooldown
    3) 4s CD reduction on said heal abilities would actually matter (i.e. you don't blow up first and would have otherwise blown up without that 4s of CD reduction)

    Seems utterly useless.

As for the console, I question whether more defense is really needed at the cost of a console slot, but assuming that it is, its value will depend on the cooldown and magnitude of the healing effect. As it stands, I am not that interested.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

One thing I will note about the trait is it doesn't say you have to use the cooldown reduced heals on yourself. I'm wondering if there's space to capitalize on this as some kind of fast and loose healer build centered around healing everyone else on the team while intentionally staying under 50% hull.

That's an awful funny way of spelling sickbay. I think my universal translator needs recalibration. :P

Oops. Er...yeah...you might wanna get your translator checked.

Finally, a ship that has a good excuse for the standard practice of welding shut the doors to special bridges. It's to keep the zombie crew from eating the captain's brains. :D

The trait seems nice, but i doubt it will be able to push an ability shorter than the global cooldown so it seems perfectly fine to me.

Not zombies- that's the Borg. They're a bunch of Frankensteins/Frankenstein's monsters.

Things a properly built Scimitar is unlikely to want:

    1. That console.
    2. That trait.
    3. Aux2Batt.
