Request: Re-Roll Characters

I was thinking, ive seen a lot of people saying that they made mistakes when they created their characters, I know i wish i had done things differently, but wouldnt it be nice if you could re-roll your character?

Yes yes, people will say, just make a new character, but when you have put a lot of real money into a character, things are different.

Maybe have a re-roll option, but leave all purchases/items on the character? (and reputation =p)

    What do you need to re-roll? You can change everything post character creation except for species and gender far as I remember. If you made a mistake in that department..why did you wait..? Oh and class.

    I believe the ability to change a toon's race, gender and class is exactly what the OP is calling for.

    Keep in mind that not all races start out playable - some need to be unlocked, bought in the C-store, etc. That's one reason why someone might want to change their toon's race at least, so they can play as an unlocked race without having to roll a new alt.

    I know this would've been great for my very first toon (FED Human TAC), which I still have but hardly play now. When I finally bought LTS, I wouldve loved to switch him to LibBorg. But alas, in have so many toons now, that it doesn't matter.

    Wondering whether we'll get playable Cardassians or Dominion has me sitting on the fence about creating an Alien toon as a Cardassian or opening my Jem'Hadar ships. I'd hate to invest into a toon like that only to have an authentic playable Race/Faction be suddenly put in game.
