Tribble crashing to desktop

I just updated Tribble on my PC, but now it crashes to Desktop while loading on the Cryptic screen, is anyone else having this issue or is it just an issue transferring characters?

    I've had something similar happen on my laptop when the game started in Full screen.

    I was able to "fix" this by checking the "Safe mode" option in the launcher.

    Tried running it in safe mode and it still crashes to desktop. I'm hoping this isn't an issue with Steam.
