Wearable Accolades

I would like to wear my accolades ( the medals) on my uniform. There are so many interesting accolades. There are still many that i don´t have but still, they could look great on uniforms.

In most nations, or all nations officers wear their awards at least on some occasions

    Could be cool to have, but sadly I do not think it ever will. However, if it ever does happen, I will use it for sure.

    There are far too many accolades in the game to wear them all in any way. At best there could be some kind of stock ribbon bars unlocked based on your accolade points. It wouldn't show what accolades you have, but could show a ballpark figure of how many you have.

    Of course, important accolades could always unlock a specific wearable decoration, too.

    We'd all end up looking like some banana-republic dictator if we got medals to wear on our unis. :D

    OR, we would look like every other normal General or Admiral. But actually i didn´t mean the real Accolades and medals but in the form of Ribbons and ribbon bars as warpangel suggested.

    BTW the TOS dress uniform has those decorations and as far as i know, those are ribbbons from starfleet awards, arranged in different order. You can see that Kirk, Spock and McCoy all have different amounts of awards. Kirk has the most (aside from the commodore,) and McCoy has only 4

    Beat me to it. :D I use the TOS dress uniform ribbons on my diplomatic outfit for this very thing.

    Well, there could a limit on the number of wearable Accolades (ribbons + medals). Revamp the Accolade UI (which would be great anyway, because it's a pain trying to find a specific Accolade sometimes) with a customizable ribbon rack that allows Players a choice of which Accolades to wear.

    Overkill. Almost everyone would have enough accolades to completely fill up any reasonably sized ribbon set, and only people who have a habit of zooming in on other people's chests could see which ones they have out.

    A generic ribbon set, maybe with a few alt textures/colors for variety and larger versions unlocked by collecting more accolade points, would be much easier to implement, visually indistinguishable from custom sets in 99.99% of all situations (that 0.01% being the "zooming in on someone's chest" case), and would actually convey useful information about how much accolades the wearer has.

    I'd love to have something like this too. Here's another canon example from
    The Undiscovered Country.

    Perhaps the simplest way to get something like this would be for accolades to unlock "ribbon" badges. You'd probably only be able to wear one at a time though.

    Another thing that would be cool would be if there was some way to display accolades on your character bio (what you see when another player views your info).

    Yes, thanks. Almost forgot that there are already canon examples for this. Does look good, doesn´t it?

    Wearing them just to learn the graphics are clipping off and not centered right. Bad enough Fleet Admiral pins were clipping an are now fixed. To wear all these metals would be nice if they got it right. You beam down anywhere and you learn your metals didn't follow you down. Then you have to consider which outfit you want the metals on. You don't want them on Armor or Kits. So it has to be on dress uniform. KDF and ROM would suffer here though. So much graphical clipping would be need to be fix first.

    I requested this a long time ago, but never heard anything since then.
    At least the Medal of Honor, the Starfleet Cross and the Starfleet Silver Star should be made available for our dress uniforms.

    I had a thought similar to this but, my idea would allow us to wear our commendation ranks in place of our starfleet ranks. My main engineering admiral is actually an ambassador and I would rather wear the ambassador rank instead of the admiral rank.
