What is the Arc Client?

- extended to 12.00

Did the devs suddenly decided to slap another patch on during maintenance?
5 hours downtime?
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

 Yeah I saw this too, extended to 12 PST good thats 3 PM for me, an extra 2.5 hours. Wonderful.

When one expects too much from Cryptic, one is always disappointed.

Better that it gets extended, with better odds of it being done right the first time (hopefully).

It would be nice if we could queue such things... the 20 hr R&D projects and DOFF projects, for example....

It would be nice if they made an app that we could use to collect Doff assignments and assign new ones. Check Upgrades etc. Too much to as for I bet!

It obviously wouldnt work with the game down, lol!!! But when up it would allow you at work to sneak out for 10 mins and do some of the doffing and other small errands. This is what I thought the Gateway was going to be.

And exactly how would that work? The game is down. (And I do not have the ability to run apps while at work either, as I am sure is true for a lot of people.)

My suggestion would allow you to slot in the next project in advance, to begin automatically when the current project completes. Which BTW is very similar to the way fleet projects work (fleet admins get a second slot visible, which they can place a project into, and that next project automatically becomes available for donations when the previous project's completion timer expires). This would allow for 'daily' projects to be reset during maintenance without requiring the player to wait until it is possible to log in, by instead queueing it in advance.

Would it not be possible through gateway?

Gateway allows one to view ship setup and boff setup from outside the game itself.
Not sure if it needs the game server to do so though.

why does this surprise people the maintaince usually takes that long they just decided to let people know this time so when time is up they are not bombarded with e-mails. but if they really just thought it would take longer then prepare for maintaince to last 2-4 hours longer than they have posted

I think the hamster got out of its cage, and now the Devs are on all fours trying to find it. The hamster saw an opening and made a break for it, taking the Devs by surprise :D

They have added a new patch. They must be really nervous there now, taking their past track record...Dev "I'll turn the server back on shall I guys...<BANG>...oops!"

    Joke of course :D

maybe they finally found the loose TRIBBLE that caused all the connection problems and lags over the past weeks
or the new loadout fix (lol) messed up something that prevents the server from booting up again

could also be a molten snowball on the hardware

What? The 3 people playing are going to have to delay their patrol missions?
