106th Fleet still around?

Today when the servers went down, I was trying to find information about it, as these forums were down too. I found a STO server status website and it led me to the 106th Fleet forums. I was interested to learn more about this fleet (cause I'd kinda like to find a new fleet), but I see no indication that this fleet still exists.

I would have just asked in the fleet's recruitment thread, but it's been more than 30 days (a year and a half, actually) since it's last post.

Anyone know? On its own forums it seems like all activity comes to a screeching halt just 2-3 months ago.

106th fleet was a well organized fleet. As a prior officer I enjoyed the military precision they had when running missions. I became friends with many of them. Sadly the number of active players went down around season 9. Many of the members left the game or came back to a different fleet. I don't know if they will bring the website back or not. I do know they aren't actively seeking new players. This might change in the near future? If you contact me in game I can put you in touch with a member. If not almost 100% of the pve team joined my current fleet. I can also recommend a few alternatives if you would like.

Well I have submitted an application to join 106th, but I am open to suggestions. I'm just looking for a fleet that is pretty active. I'm in a really small fleet right now, but I tend to lose interest in games seriously fast if I have no one to talk to. I like bigger fleets.

If 106th isn't as active anymore or not open to new recruits, I'd appreciate any alternatives, including your fleet. I'm not much for PvP in this game, so PvE would work fine for me.

Please let them know Issac says hello. If it doesn't work out 77th has so many sister fleets that my friends there never get bored. I have found the funnest fleets are ones with devisions or leaders that are always on running missions. Without that leadership there is a casual play feel. Like you I get bored. My fleet is starting to become active 24/7. However we are trying to increase our numbers still. We will be working on that through January.

Is 77th your fleet then, or are you in one of its sister fleets?

With all the in-game problems I'm having a hard time getting in contact with anyone. That said, 106th does not appear when I try to do a fleet search. Is that what happens when they turn off recruiting?

i think a fleet member has to be logged in for the fleet to show up in the search, regardless of the setting

Ah, that might explain it. Though that would seem to indicate that it's not very active. I'd like to find a fleet that always has at least a few people on.

Issac, which 77th Fleet is yours? I saw several 77th-something.
