Guide to Endgame farming.

No Idea if this is in the right thread or not but here goes.

I am trying to put together a guide for the endgame content. There are a people on the Forums screaming about how they can not get the necessary materials for the Rep. Projects.

These are just suggestions from what I have been doing to get the materials I need.

1st thing is ship gear.
There is good ship gear that you can get for the beginning of the Endgame Content. Depending on your preference go for

http://sto.gamepedia.com/Plasma-Disruptor_Hybrid_Beam_Array
or
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Plasma-Disruptor_Hybrid_Dual_Heavy_Cannons
or
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Polarized_Tetryon_Beam_Array
or
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Polarized_Dual_Tetryon_Beam_Bank
or
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Dominion_Polaron_Beam_Array
or
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Dominion_Polaron_Dual_Cannon

The Dominion Polaron weapons can make for a good choice because you can also get the (http://sto.gamepedia.com/Jem%27Hadar_Space_Set) to boost Polaron Damage.

If you want a Torpedo I would Recommend:

http://sto.gamepedia.com/Hargh%27peng_Torpedo_Launcher

But these are also good

http://sto.gamepedia.com/Chroniton_Flux_Torpedo_Launcher
or
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Rapid_Reload_Transphasic_Torpedo_Launcher

Now with the Breen Set getting a 4 piece layout now you could combine 2 pieces of http://sto.gamepedia.com/Jem%27Hadar_Space_Set and 2 pieces of http://sto.gamepedia.com/Breen_Absolute_Zero to make a boost to both Polaron and Transphasic Torpedo with the rapid fire transphasic's

For the consoles for the ship either buy some very cheap ones or make some easy ones with the crafting system.

Now for ground gear:

Easiest ones to get is
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Jem%27Hadar_Armored_Shroud and get it at least 3 times. One for Captain and the other 2 for the 2 Bridge Officers you want to have in the Ground battlezone. Or you could do http://sto.gamepedia.com/Refractive_Bulwark if you want Mk XII gear. I used the Jem set for ground to get http://sto.gamepedia.com/Dyson_Joint_Command_%28Ground%29 for my Captain and slowly overtime got other Ground Sets from the Rep system for my Bridge officers.

Now for the Rep system, getting marks for the different reps is easy, yes you will run some regular stf's to get these or if you fly good you could even do advanced ques if needed. For the Borg Kitomer Space Advanced is a good one even if you have a low DPS ship. If your ship has a lower dps rating focus more on shills that can cotrol the probes (Grav Well, Tractor beam Repulsors, Warp Plasma) slow the probes down so you have more time to destroy them. Also if you think you are set lower than other just open up on the chat at the beginning of the match, hopefully the majority of the players you will meet will help you and if anyone gives you any flack just put them on your Ignore list and be done with them. (I don't know if it was planned this way or not but I have never been paired with someone in an stf after I put them on my Ignore list)

For Nukra marks just do Crystaline Catasprohy Advanced or CCA for short, stay as close to 10km away from the entity as possible and keep firing till it starts absorbing then fly outside the 10km range wait for pulse then rinse and repeat.

For the Romulan marks there lots of ways to get them, being set at a lower lvl I prefer the full Romulan patrol mission, one of the systems in the upper left of the map begins with a "C" I think. It has 5 waves of Romulan ships in it and they are pretty easy to pop the XP isn't too terrible and they can drop a decent amout of items most of the time to scrap for ec.

Dyson marks you get in the Ground Battlezone (also use this area for farming Dilithium).

8472 marks get them from the Space Battle Zone (2nd best place for farming Dilithium i have found)

Delta marks make it to lvl 54 and get the 1st Patrol "Story" mission and run Argala.

If you get the dailiy bonus for each set of marks you should get about 60 total in each, that is enough to set the 20hr rep project. The 20hr projects are perfect since almost everything in the game runs off of a 20hr timer when these are done you can repeat any of the Dailies you need.

If you need to farm more Dilithium don't forget to do all 20 duty officer mission you can slot in a day also have at least 1 Klingon character they can build Contraband very easy. get them to lvl 7 or 10 which ever one allow you to start Duty officer missions and focus on the maurding missions, looting the freighters, minefield, battlefields those types of missions can reward a lot of contraband then on your primary character take 5 of those Contabands and see a Security officer on a Starbase/Social Zone and turn them in for 2000 Dilithum.

Now before you start leveling up equipment on your ship/character make sure you have the build you want because it can lock you into a certain energy type at least until you start having a surplus of materials than you can lvl up other items as well. Dont worry about making it all the way to Epic Quality just go for MK XIV Purples they work just fine for advanced ques, Elite ques I have only gone after Bug Hunt Elite (Ground que) I have Mk XIV Very Rare Gear and have succeeded but it is one of the easier ground ques to run. Also don't buy the upgrades from the exchange they are very overpriced, it will take time but if you lvl you R&D schools to lvl 10 you can make the Improved kit upgrades for that school which are just fine for lvling gear from MK XII to Mk XIII, they are ok for lvling all the way to mk XIV but if you can hold off and wait till R&D lvl 15 make the superior ones for the XIII to XIV jump.

I hope this help to answer some questions some new people might be asking and looking for answer here on the forum, and I know there will be Troll posts but please try to keep them at a minimum and finally remember that this is just a game, have fun.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

For "free" gear there is this very useful and comprehensive thread: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=998011

Wouldn't call many of those "End Game". Go straight for the Omni Directional Antiproton array and Warp Core. Those are real end game gear. http://sto.gamepedia.com/Mission:_Sphere_of_Influence Most of the Dyson Sphere missions award real endgame gear.

    They're endgame.
Those who claim AP is the only viable weapon type usually don't know what they're talking about. And those with a basic understanding grew tired explaining things.

Calm down. If there had been a Plasma Omni Array with a corresponding 10% bonus damage boost completely free of charge I would have listed it. I very much doubt you know as much about maximizing damage or math in general as I do.

I think it's totally awesome someone is actually trying to help people..this is what you
used to find in fleets... ventrilo, mumble, team speak were all valuable tools to help new players out.
