Fleet Starbase Crafting Station???

My Fleet, The Armada, will soon be completing our final Tier V upgrade project, Upgrade Industrial Fabricator V. I see in the description for Engineering Tier V, that the new construction project that will be unlocked is the Fleet Crafting Station.

My question is, with the recent crafting revamp, what is the point of a crafting station on the fleet starbase? Is there a reason for that project, and if so, is it worth queuing it up?

    we have one, I believe, and we've never been able to access it

    It used to give the same station that was at memory alpha. With the new r&d, it just got removed from those fleets that had completed it (we had it, the consoles do nothing now). The only reason to complete it now is to get rid of the q in the project list I would say.

    The crafting station was pretty much an automatic unlock; no project necessary to get the unlock.

    In the very least.. it is a way to generate more fleet credits for members.. so it does have a little value

    As constructive feedback to Cryptic, wouldn't it be a nice thing if this crafting station allowed a second Request R&D Assistance assignment (similar to the one at the Academy). Say a nominal Fleet Credit cost - 1000 to 1500, and boom - it adds value to having it, helps with the crafting system, gives people a reason to go to the base, etc...
