Its Christmas!! Where are the Zen and C-store sales?

I may be wrong but I thought that in the years before on Christmas, Cryptic had a big sale on everything. IMO, its very bad for a company not to offer something on Christmas for its players. C-store sales or Zen discounts. Anything, I think it would show the company actualy cares about its players. This is where cryptic fails. You know ppl get money for Christmas, Cash, Giftcards. It would be a perfect time for cryptic to take advantage of all that free money. Just saying. Guess I'll just have to spend mine on some battle.net mounts for WOW: WOD. Merry Christmas Everybody!!!

    they're having a sale now. after the winter event there will probably be another just before the anniversary event. big sales don't come while they're doing events. never have.

    The outfit sell is really sweet. I finally got the Star Trek II uniform. Been wanting that since I first started the game. Now I can wear the uniform, or just the belt on other uniforms. I don't stick to a uniform all the time. So it will be used.

    I hope the Dil sellers will be happy. I had to cash in a lot of Dil for those zen points. :rolleyes:

    There is a black Friday sale and people call it a money grab because cryptic hates players. There's little Christmas sale and people say it's a money grab because cryptic hates players. Stop relating sales to dev opinions. It's pwe that schedules them.

    Yeah gonna have to agree here, they had the black Friday sale, and people we whining they were desperate, and this was a sign of the end.

    People on the forum always represent the most important issues about the game at the time and their problems need to be addressed ASAP.

    Even if they have contradictory opinions. Maybe then even especially so.

    Since I can't hear or read any of that ... I guess I'll have to wait for 2min or 52min ?

    The news post will go up automatically shortly, but the sale is already on. 15% Bonus Zen when you charge up until 12/29 9am PST and 15% Discount on Master Keys during that time as well!

    First off, not a deception. The system is in place to protect accounts and the game economies.

    Second, it does not activate on everyone. It only activates the probation on accounts that hit specific criteria that need to be looked into deeper by the system.

    The probation lifts within 7-10 days. While on probation you can still spend your Zen you charged up but the items you purchase are bound to your account. If you wait the 7-10 days then the items you buy will not be bound.

    Sadly, one of those 'specific condition' is if you use Steam.

    If you use Steam, the probation system will trigger 100% of the time. Luckily, there is a way around it if you wish to take advantage of the Master Key sale.

    1. Buy Zen.
    2. Close the game completely (don't just log out, close it out.)
    3. Log back in and make your purchase.

    You can tell if it worked or not, the system will warn you before you confirm your purchase if your items are going to be account bound.

    I have gone back and forth with Support on this, they claim this isn't a restriction against steam and that it doesn't happen every single time. Unfortunately, they're wrong about the frequency, it does happen every time for me.

    Luckily, you can get around it. It's just a slight annoyance.

    just got spam for zen sale on an alt account's gmail, please do not send unsolicited adverts so I dont have to flag them as such

    I'm getting really ******* tired of hitting the One-Click-Unsubscribe button and having it do jack **** in PWE's mail system. I do this every time I get promo spam from PWE, and without fail I continue to receive unwanted email spam from them for subsequent promos.

    Fair enough, then can you clarify what are the specific criteria? because in the oficial thread is not stated the criteria...so maybe the people has to buy and see if they get or not the locked items by undefined time? o and i say undefined time because even if you said are 7-10 days there is people with problems on the expiration period, as you have seen by yourself

    So, well, anyone is free to spend their money in whatever they please... i i just hope they dont get into the locked items probation sistem in Xmas time, that would be nasty, and if so, i hope they dont have the usual issue with probation not expiring, that would be a even more nasty xmas.

    :( I was hoping for a sale on ships etc. Not that this is a bad deal,....I'm just sitting on just under 10K Zen, and of course as a fan of the ships I want to buy damned near all of them.

    Last time I had to change an email for STO it took 3 weeks of back and forth with customer service to get everything squared away. No thank you. D:

    What? did I actually have something to do with the encouragement of a zen sale. I'm touched. 100% proof cryptic does listen to thier player base. I'm gald you guys noticed the potential to make money. Really, I better go get some zen now, with this news I may fall dead with a heart attack. I knew you guys would come through. I didn't doubt you for a second.
