Talos IV

patcrowpatcrow Member Posts: 89 Arc User
I would like to see the development team find time to create a mission about Talos IV and the Talosians.

Think you guys could come up with something good. It would be cool to see how they developed to present. Also have players take on an enemy which would be literally in our minds.

Doesn't have to be a major story arc but a nice something. Perhaps a special mission for the 50th anniversary.

Just a thought.

According to General Order 7, visiting or making contact with Talos IV is sued with death penalty.

We should have some other TOS species show up, like the First Federation, Organians, or Excalbians.

Or TRIBBLE. Starfleet captains have a long and storied history of fighting TRIBBLE.

I want Iconian TRIBBLE teaming up with the Voth... so that they have access to DINOSAUR MOUNTS.

This is so stupid, Captain Geko might actually like it.

I'd take the Kelvins, too... maybe they can also join our Super Hero Squad against the Iconians.

I want to see an Undine and Iconian fight...

Assuming General Order 7 is still in affect, nobody is allowed to go there. Period. No doubt it would also end up being a nonsense story mission. This is the same company that made us go through two Dyson Spheres to reach the Delta Quadrant, after all.

Well you can have a scenario where the "Alliance" or all factions would be seeking help from the older and more advanced races against the Iconians, Talos IV being one of them.

I can see them breaking that Order 7 if they were desperate enough.

You could use this idea for some of the other races like First Federation, Metrons, and the Melkotians.

For the 50th, I'd like to see a story about the Talosians since they were in the first pilot.

That would be extremely difficult to do since they were the LAST TWO living survivors of their race and are probably long since dead.

that's an odd one but there are doff missions involving the Cheron in STO. Dunno HOW, but Kirk didn't know much about Cheron civilization. Their HW wasn't a planet the Feds were familiar with. It's possible there are more of them scattered like El-Aurians.

The Talosians said they had long life spans and wanted to grow a community of Human slaves. So I think they would be very much alive in the 25th century.

It's a good idea guys, trust me. I think the Development Team could really make something awesome with this.

I actually felt the same way and made a short foundry mission involving the Talosians. It's a Fed mission titled "General Order 7". Reviews generally positive so far. :D

I can see a mission to talk to the Talosians to see if they have any knowledge or help vs the Iconians. Our captains would definitely need some telepathic help to be able to block out the illusions. We would need a very strong telepathy. And to tie some more threads into the Iconic plot. Tam Elbrun and Gomtuu aka Tin Man could make a showing. Gomtuu itself may have some knowledge about the Iconians. I think Cryptic could make a cool mission with around that along with the new/old tech they have (Mindscape's scene visuals swtchouts and Q's transformations).

Be kinda cool if while you were herding the Gekli in the Galorndon Core System, the Gomtuu suddenly showed up and when you interacted with it a mission pops up.
