Peter Capaldi as the Doctor?
Clara?
Steven Moffat as the writer?
Vastra and Jenny were never lesbians?
Or plot twist where the Master never regenerated and Missy was just the Rooney d*cking around?

Post Ideas below!
Captain Joseph Riker, U.S.S. Odyssey==General V'Mar, U.S.S. Blackwater-A==Admiral Laura Holmes, U.S.S. Forward Unto Dawn
Grand Master Thotok, son of Koloth, I.K.S. Sompek==Dahar Master Shanara, I.K.S. Balth'Quv

Admiral R'Tath V'Tirex, R.R.W. Dhael Glohha'enh==Commander Ta'eth Korval, R.R.W Hachae ch'Rhian==Admiral Vranuk, R.R.W Delevhas

    Moffat.

Clara's going to be the one to go, though.

Capaldi's excellent, Vastra and Jenny are adorable, and Female!Psychopathic!Master was actually really fun; I know that traditionalists say the Master should only be one particular way, but come on; the Doctor's gone from whimsical older guy to driven, slightly insane badass with a crew cut to Peter Capaldi, no reason the Master shouldn't be just as variable.

The problem is Moffat, who shares with Berman and Braga a remarkable skill at torpedoing his own art, inability to write women, and titanic laziness.

Seriously, this last season, especially that godawful tree episode, was like Enterprise with better acting. Not quite at the Voyager level yet, but getting there.

And the less said about River Song, the better. FU Moffat, FU. "The Five(ish) Doctors, Revisited" was better than that last season.

Im going to see series eight soon but my WHOVIAN sister doesn't like missy being the master. And right now Moffat is trying to get all white companions black boyfriends and killing off said boyfriends faster than GRR Martin can kill off good guys. Im really going to miss Clara though, River? She died back in that library episode, and moffat should go back to Sherlock where he's good.

And so many people thought missy was tthe Rooney from classic who its incredible, but moffat saidabout making missy the rRooney: not enough people know who the Rooney is.
I want John Simm to show up as the master and solve this bullish*t

Moffat's good nowhere. I watch Sherlock to see Benedict Cumberbatch enjoy himself with Martin Freeman.

I mean, the mysteries are all either blindingly obvious or nonsensical. I had Mrs. Watson pinned as an intel/wetwork field operative by the time Sherlock pulled Watson out of that fire. I knew she was pregnant by about 15 minutes into the wedding episode. I did like seeing Sherlock's cold-blooded murder of the creepy jerk, very nice moral ambiguity there, but that entire scene was way overblown.

I just want to see Moriarty back. He's already in the Hobbit (and I hope that CumberSmaug roasts him, it'd be hilarious), which probably explains the delay in season 4, but I can't wait to see him and Sherlock's crazy mental dueling again.

But Moffat needs to go. Soon.

Clara's going. What puzzles me a little is that Danny Pink (who was named a companion before appearing) also appears to be out, one way or another, unless they throw some curve ball that not only restores him to life but also separates said new life from Clara.

I've not heard a new companion actor named. Has anyone else? It makes me wonder if they intend to have the Doctor travel solo for a bit. I'd personally be happy if Kate Stewart traveled with him for a short time before returning to U.N.I.T..

But frankly, what I really, really want gift-wrapped is for the Doctor in his loneliness following Clara's departure to finally fulfill his promise to "come back" to his granddaughter Susan. Have one tribute episode where the original actress portrays Susan in the old age of her first life, and at the end regenerate her to a younger Susan thereby gaining a "new" companion for a time.

By "Roonie", I'm assuming you mean "Rani".

Me, I just wanna see Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart's amazing adventures as a Cyberman.

I think it's really great how he resisted Cyber-conversion by sheer bullheadedness. I can just imagine that irritating AI going up to him and doing the whole "wouldn't it be nice to let go of your emotions?" thing, and him just crossing his arms and saying "f*ck no, I want to FEEL every last bit of satisfaction when that damn alien salutes me. Because he WILL do it, and I WILL be there to see it."

About the only thing Moffat did completely right, tbh.

I so can't wait until Clara is gone. She's become the apex of the angsty whining that we've been increasingly shovelled in Doctor Who, and maybe flushing her will do something to remove the stink. She is now utterly insufferable to me.

Moffat more than anyone else. Capaldi plays the Doctor just fine, doing as well as he can with a TRIBBLE script. Let him be batsh!t crazy, then give him a companion who is totally willing to slap him upside the head and drag him back to reality when needed. I thought Danny Pink was going to be that much-needed addition (instead of just tormenting then discarding a perfect good character concept), or someone like Donna Noble. Or have Clara grow into it after what happened, since so far the Doctor has brought little more than pain into her life. But Moffat, with all his angsting and preaching and anvilicious lecturing, needs to GO AWAY.

    Pretty much this, TBH.

Moffat needs to go suck some humility and leave the franchise. Give Capaldi a decent script and he'll be a god--hell, maybe even the best Doctor ever.

    But Moffat needs to go.

My sister is doing a fanfic where the Doctor finds Susan in London, that's answers the question why have all the alien invasions been in London, because there's a fu*king defenseless female timelord there! Its a good idea. We need Susan

    Russel T. Davies.

Oh wait he's already gone. Seriously, Moffat has his issues, I guess, but...Day of the Doctor proved that Billie Piper and David Tennant can both be completely brilliant, just not when written by RTD.

Eh, prolly Clara. Not because I don't like her, but because it's probably time for a new companion. Not really sure how well she works with Twelve, anyway.

Moffat, he should just focus on Sherlock. I like Sherlock, but he adds nothing to Dr. Who.

I am getting sick and tired of all the human companions that the Doctor had over the years. The Doctor might have had a few alien companions, but only one looks alien and that is Kamelion from the Fifth Doctor. K-9 doesn't count since it is a robot dog. Strax would work as a companion or an over-enthusiastic Dalek.

The explanation within canon is simple: the Doctor is a human-phile. He's stated it several times, even if his current version irascibly uses less than flattering descriptions ("pudding for brains"). So he'll naturally gravitate to human companions.

There's another element though, as well. On one of the short works made during 11's run, he and Amy have a talk about what happens while Rory and Amy sleep. He declares he needs little sleep and has many adventures in the hours when his companions doze. All off-screen. It may be inferred that he routinely checks in with companions who are not human. Not all companions travel in the box. The Paternoster gang, from whom you've named Strax, have had several adventures with him, and only one is human. And they have traveled in the blue box from time to time.

That said, it might be interesting to have him travel (constantly in the box, their own key) with a humanoid with visually obvious differences. They'd likely have to wear a holo-projection when riding along on one of his many trips to Earth's past before aliens were known. So the actor's normal face would be use as the holo-projection.

Oh, I understand why the Doctor only takes human companions, but why do they always have to be from early 21st Century Earth? Have some companions from 15th Century and 25th Century Earth. Although, it could be debated that Clara is no longer human with her consciousness spread to all corners of the Universe.

Osgood would have been the perfect companion, except Moffat turned her to dust in the last episode. >.<

I think Clara needs to go. It's past her time. Moffat needs to go, because he can only come up with lame excuses to explain things like Orson Pink.

Capaldi is a brilliant Doctor, and I can't wait to see more of him.

I was quite disappointed with the death of Pink.

Moffat needs to um... write women better, I agree because Clara's character isn't consistent...

now River, I did like River :D

I maintain that it was Osgood's Zygon counterpart that was disintegrated. I just don't see them neglecting to make use of that particular plot point from Day. Either that, or Osgood will return as her Zygon counterpart...

Now that I think about it, a Dalek companion would be awesome, although it'd be incredibly tricky to make it believable that the Doctor would let a Dalek anywhere near his precious Sexy, let alone travel with him for extended periods of time.

I still wish it had been the Victorian Clara that had wound up as the full-time companion. She was definitely my favorite instance.

Now that might be interesting: a reformed Zygon traveling with the Doctor. Shapeshifting used for good purposes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Zygon need the host form to remain alive? If so, that poses a problem for your second scenario.

Frankly I'm hoping disintegrated Osgood was the Zygon. I felt the Osgood character had potential to grow in the series.

Aaaand, its now Christmas Eve as I write. One day until the Doctor Who Christmas special.
