WHY THERE IS NO OTHER "AEGIS" DOFF except Gumarre?

I ve the same problem with many other Guys.
No Gumarre in my Rooster and not even 1 common Quality (maybe the common one i have put for Base Projects^^)...dosen t matter, why there is no possibility to obtain others?
The only toon i m able to craft Aegis is my Toon where allready have Tier 15 in Eng and Sci. All other Toons have 1 and some 2 but they do not have T 15 R&D!
Even the R&D Assistance from Academy havent give me one and i do request it immediate as possible with evry time the same result, no aegis Doff reward!
Cryptic, im able to progress ONLY 1 CHAR to lvl. 15 cause dilithium was not enough for all toons and im not willing to spend millions of EC to buy these Sets.
So, PLEASE (with cream topping) cryptic, give us a few more AEGIS Doffs, please or make them unbound, so i can transfer the others i have into my lvl 15 Char!

I love my Aegis set... which was crafted for each of my toons before the Crafting system revamp.
Hate to say it: I knew posts like this were coming.

There also common Researcher in exchange available? You sure?

For Aegis it is only the rare ferengi Gumarre.
you need to get lucky on a R&A Req or max the old crafting skill...
Keep running the Academy R&D mission and maybe you'll get lucky enough to get one. I've been running it since new crafting hit and I've still only gotten 2, and I 'need*' 5 more.
I wish there was some way to max out the old crafting system.
*I say 'need' because I decided since I had plenty of alts, I would have the first 7 of them specialize in a school and I ran multiple projects a day while we could before the Devs "fixed" it. I got out to such a huge head-start that consolidating at that point didn't seem worth it. So I decided to continue specializing and taking that one school per alt to lvl 20 but also running the other schools to 15.
It wasn't until about a month later that I found out that there was no common Aegis DOff and I would have to just get lucky and recruit Gumarre. I'm not even sure if there is a Purple Aegis DOff from the Xindi lockbox. (I don't believe there is) Eventually, I'll be able to craft the complete Aegis set on all 7 crafting alts. By that time, I hope to have a Gumarre on each of them.
Of course, with it being completely random not just IF you get an R&D DOff, but also which one, it likely be that I'll have all the schools to lvl 15 and likely the specialization schools to lvl 20 before all my crafters get their own Gumarre.
Set a man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.
Oh, and if you are lucky enough to get him, he is bound to character.
That sucks.
No cause I've got the agies doff on all toons and i haven't spent a dime I got him threw luck i guess and the rnd doff mission
What are so special about the white Doffs you get from "Request R&D Assistance" compared to the other blue / purple Doffs I have acquired from the Cluster and Asylum / Sanctuary Doff missions? If I wanted to craft some like an omni beam array weapon can I use one of my energy weapon Doffs or do I need on the of the "R&D Assistance" Doff to do that?

At this point, I've not just given up on crafting the Aegis set, I've given up on crafting and upgrading altogether. Things like this just show me that the crafting revamp was poorly thought through and now that it's live, they aren't showing a lot of initiative in improving it. Which they should.
*IF* someday the Devs actually look at one of these threads and see the problems people are having AND actually decide to fix these problems, perhaps I'll give crafting another shot. Until then I will just buy what crafted gear I can off the exchange.
Less hassle that way.

Can't get an Aegis R&D Doff, run the Academy R&D mission, there is more than just whites
there.
And for the paywall comment... you cant use a comment about having to spend cash on game
where every form of the currency in game is available to all, for either time and effort or real cash.
I just today (4/15) started an Aegis engine project and dedicated two 25% boosts to it and got an Ultra Rare outcome, and I am only at Engineering level 16.
The account unlocks for crafting are simply R&D packs containing materials and components, there are no DOff's with them.
If you actually did get account wide DOff unlocks then you got a bug, one that benefits you, so I would keep quiet about it.

the alternative to gumarre, for those of us that hadnt done aegis before, would have been the need to level 3 schools to 15 in order to craft the full set.
just running the R&D mission, whenever its was cd, was a better idea imo, ok so it still cost dilithium to do it, but the overall return wasnt too bad at all.
thinking about it, allowing people to buy a doff to craft the aegis set would have created a proper 'poo storm' back then.
