Breen Ship Discount Bug w/Screenshot

Had to make a new thread regarding the matter with proper bug report criteria.

This is what I did -
My old rep from last year, I completely canceled and started this year rep for the "Breen Chell Grett Warship" - Now keep in mind this is the "NEW," this year's new rep system, since I canceled the old one from the previous year.
This may have to do with either the old Q pictures from last year, or the data that should register the old "Q" pictures for the discount, but may not be working properly.
Below is my screen shot:
Please click on the image to enlarge, so you can see the details - Remember I canceled last year, ran the new one, got the ship, then started the event rep project back up for the same ship to show you it may not be last yr rep progression - Possible issue may be that the program is not reading the old "Q" pictures from last yr, or something else entirely.

I posted a screenie and ran the same project again, as you can see in my inventory is the Breen Chell Grett Warship, and on the Event Rep menu you can see I ran the project again but the discount was not applied.
Note: I canceled last years old rep and started this year when I receieved my Chell Grett, so both projects, the one used to earn the Chell grett and the new one I am running to show you that the data is not being applied. This can either be an issue with the system registering the old "Q" pictures, or something in the data being corrupted or not read correctly.
It may be possible that the system is not registering properly between the New event rep project and the old event rep project, some conflicting data. However; that does not explain why some players get the discount while others do not.

So, for now, to get the discount one has to complete the Reputation project on at least one character at the full 1000 cost. The discount is looking for the completion of that initial project. If you acquired the ship any other way than via the Reputation project, the discount will not apply. That's my understanding of the issue.

the warship and raider rep project is bugged... the middle reward is the unlock for the winter event and that is not registering when you complete the project.
you can complete the carrier project and it will unlock the account wide discount for the carrier... i did this using a mix of old and new pics. got unlock message.
switched to alt and claimed carrier for 40 pics... also got system message saying I got an account wide unlock... rinse and repeat and each alt is getting the account wide unlock message.
the unlock is the middle reward for the project, your suppose to get it each time you finish the project.
the raider and warship does not register this reward even thou the rep project has it listed.
I did the raider this year... brand new project and handed in 1000 pics. Got ship in a box but no system message about an unlockl. talked to q and nada. if I wanted the ship again I need to pony up 1000 pics. Same for alts.
I have the warship unlocked already and went to an alt who did not have it... claimed it for 40 pics and he did NOT get a system message for the unlock... in contrast to him getting a system message about an unlock for the carrier.

Below is my screen shot showing that I have both the Chel Gret Warship and the Plesh Brek Heavy Raider. I have the discount for the Chel Grett, however; for the Raider I do not.
Darling, server is currently down as they are patching something up. It will be down from 7am to 9am Pacific time, which translate to 10am to 12PM Eastern time, if you live in the eastern part of the United States.

Who cares about 2 years ago? Two years ago mk XII was the Super weapon, Scimitars didn´t exit and no one thought about Delta Rising.
And btw 2 years ago we didn´t have the Sarr Theln which requires you to also have another ship , the Raider, to get Access to the frigate pets. They can change the rules of the game as they want, even if we don´t like it (and there are things i don´t like about STO) its their game. They changed the rules, announced and promised that it would be possible to get ships for 40 pictures if one character unlocked a ship.
So they did change the rules about the race already, now its just about keeping their promise.
But they didn´t fix it in time for christmas.
YES it SHOULD be fixed i ran last years on 7 toons for the raider and you do not see me complaining about the discount i'm glad cause i am not running 9 toons for the full 1k for all the ships ugh i would probally face plant my desk until i pass out if i did that again this year >_<
Cheap way to go but hey, its cryptic. besides the ships are technically free if u work for it. also it'll only take 6-8 years to get all the other 2 ships if u run the daily everyday till the event is over.
and yes i to have this bug.
Yes it should be fix, as it was a courtesy to those players that have many alts, try running the event for 49+ characters on an account, it is a grueling task. Also you did not pay anything, so this retail TRIBBLE doesn't fly - only people that have paid were those who did not want to bother with the race and bought "Q" pics to obtain the "FREE" ship sooner than everyone else.
NOTE: Initially a player has to run the race "X" amount of time to obtain 1,000 pic - so the price was paid.
Actually I beg to differ, this same issue occurred during the Risa event, and that got a fix before the event was over. So be patient and wait for a patch, it will eventually come out.

Meh.
I made my very first alt and got him to level 11 so I could get the Chell Grett on him, and buy it for 40 on my main, if only for the console (I'm hoping they buff it, because aside from the Sarr Theln's console, the other two really suck.. and the set bonuses for them could be a lot better. Those are 3 console slots you're giving up! It should be 100% worth it.
Anyway, hope I don't get the discount issue with the Grett on my main.
Is there any pattern / trick to getting around this bug when the time comes that anyone has found?
Not grinding for it back in 2012 (before the Reputation System), should do the Trick ... (no guarentees)
Unfortunately no, my best advice is save as many pic as you can, prop the project up after getting the Carrier, since the Bug doesn't appear to effect the carrier itself. I recommend save your pic and post the event projects on different toons until they patch the issue.
Logged off for the night and when I got on in the morning the Carrier was discounted again for all my toons however the raider and the warship are still full price even for the toons that already did the 1000 portrait claim for them.
I am hoping they resolve this issue this upcoming Thursday, Jan 1st - that is if they aren't too drunk from partying on News Years eve, lol.
My stomach is clear and my mind is full of bacon!
The only one that actually unlocked was the carrier.
I will wait for a fix for this, and until its fixed my playtime and my money will be going to someone else.

Never mind, it was just a display bug for me. The project description stated it need 1000 portraits, but actually slotting the project showed only 40 needed for completion.
