Looks at his 163 APC in the bank and full delta sets and disagrees, though they need to reassess what level awards what eg, normal should give 1, advance 2 and elite 3
But in the meantime you just need to run as many bug hunt runs and borg disconnected as you can fit in to your gaming time.
I think its because the only source is the stf's which is not a good thing. I would think that there would be a way to get 1 power cell per day from something in the kobali zone but possibly they are holding off on other ways to get the power cells till the next content update release for the area.
I dont think only having stf's award these parts is a good way especially if you dont enjoy stf's which many dont.

Bug Hunt will work, but I have never run a successful Borg Disconnected PUG. (Not that I did the latter often. But failing even on a normal was pretty disheartening). Maybe I was just unlucky. But compared to Borg Neural PRocessor that I can easily get with Infected Advanced or Voth Cybernetic Implants you can easily get with the Dyson Batlte Zone, or those Undine Metamorphic Thingies I can easily make in the Undine Battle Zone... I think Delta is missing something.
There also really seems no reason to run the Kobali Zone. Marks can be easily gained via Patrols and Daily Bonus Marks, and there is no additional incentive in the form of the Power Cells on Kobali.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I'm practically swimming in them, and I'm a pretty casual player. Borg Disconnected isn't that hard to do. I have never seen a normal fail. Bug Hunt is even easier. I PUG it on Elite, and I've seen it fail twice.
I'm going to be a bit harsh now. If you can't learn how to survive to complete Borg Disconnected or Bug Hunt, you don't deserve any Ancient Power Cells.

So doom upon me for trying to grind for the good gear? And also I normaly do bug hunt A just fine. But recently I think Craptic broke it because im now getting one shotted by small bugs...
Do Elite bug hunt. It has a 30 min cd and it's easy as hell. You get 2 from it. I've got about 150 of those at the moment after I used them to get everything worth getting from that rep-system.
Galavant!

Borg Disconnected can't fail on Normal. But except when the team I was in was handpicked, I have never been in an instance where we've gotten every optional. And on Advanced, where they aren't optional, but rather fail conditions, I honestly wouldn't trust a pug.

Don't you know it's standard operating procedure to require gear a tier above the tier you're doing?
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Kobali adventure battlezone ought to reward them, similar to dyson and undine. Kobali is missing those larger and epic group events for some f***ing reason...
Could explain why the place is mostly deserted these days. That or Argala.
I fully agree with the notion of giving more opportunities for APCs.
That said, I've had some success with running Borg: Disconnected Advanced. A lot more fails than successes, but still... it's not a goose-egg. And it would be so helpful, too, if PUGers learned how to run Disconnected. Seriously. I ran a PUG yesterday... all four team members went into one zone. After I blew up once or twice, someone wised up and figured out we needed to split up... and then, we lost.
Borg: Disconnected really requires teamwork... shoot, even just look at your map, and determine where to go from there. Knowing is half the battle!
We need more ways to get ancient power cells, or Craptic needs to reduce the amount needed for rep items.
They are coming. Geko said in last Priority One interview that they are going to be adding ways for solo players to each Ancient Power Cells and Borg Neural Processors (on Kobali Prime Ground and Defera Ground repectively). He went out of his way to to mention this in the part of the P-One interview where they let the inverviewee say anything they want to say.

I'm a pretty casual player, and I have a hard time coming across them. I can't get a single decent team together, for either Bug Hunt or Borg Disconnected (both Advanced). It's driving me nuts.
I was under the impression you could only acquire the Power Cells through Advanced/Elite runs of those STFs. Can you actually claim them through Normal runs?
I haven't tried Kobali Prime yet, but if I read the patch notes correctly, it is just a daily mission that rewards ancient power cells (well ,one of them per day).
Can't they do it like they did with the Voth Dyson Zone or the Undine Battle Zone? Those are awesome.

The last 2 Kobali ground missions reward power cells. If you do them wrong, they might be repeatable for more power cells per day. (I think that happened to me, but I'm not sure. I got the reward for the last mission, and it was still active.)
