Good evening Captains,

This is my current Galaxy-X build:
http://skillplanner.stoacademy.com/?build=bladeofwizardrygalaxyx2_0

Randomqueue run as recorded on the Livestream:
http://www.twitch.tv/ryansto/c/5612657

Highest ISA pug group got it up to 57 with that layout. On Channelruns 67, though I didnt run it too often in there. Modified version with more glass has been used for the 82k.

If you have any questions, let me know.

best regards
RyanSTO

I would be interested in seeing the 82k version.

As a general FYI, it is a Reciprocrity based build, and in modified form is the highest DPS Fed build. (unless someone has bettered it)

I did already beat it on federation side, but its not quite there yet to be published ;D

This is more of a build for the "you dps people cant tank any damage, and blow up all the time... you need others to do debuffing and healing for you!" statements.
As you buy around 10% damage by giving up 70% survivability. A trade that only can be done in dedicated groups.

Excuse my ignorance, but why use Flow Cap Sci consoles?

I watched the Video on twitch, and I noticed you were using Phasers and not Antiprotons as indicated in your STOAcademy link above. Nice to see that kind of DPS with phasers.

yep. Plasmonic boosts all power, which means better shields, more speed and maneuvering, better heals, and more power to overcap with. Having the two flow cap consoles will boost plasmonic even more. It's really worth it.

yea, I am working on switching. Phasers are CrtD x3 mk 14's. so the linked build actually does better ;D

Also keep in mind that the Flow caps also give you the Plasma fire proc- which is already worth it if you dont run plasma weapons

Sorry for not being up to date anymore, but what is this "bounty hunter's Friend" - Engineering console?
I have searched STOwiki, but without any success.

Second Question, why no Aux to Battery?
(please forgive my ignorance, i have forgotten a lot of details since i last played STO)

Bounty Hunter's Friend - Lobi Store universal console

This build uses an [AMP]-Core (+damage for every system with more than 75 power) and the Nukara T4 offensive trait (aux power adds damage) so A2B would be counter-productive.
Reciprocity keeps the tac skills on global cooldown (most of the time) and his DOFFs do the same for EPTS and EPTW.

Only thing I do not understand is why he chose Desperate Repairs over Battle Ready.

If you use the phantom trait along with the eclipse trait you can get all tac powers almost to global. The phantom trait reduces the CD on all tac and intel powers by 10% each time the enemy misses you and the eclipse trait gives a bonus to defense every time you use an engineering power or intel power. What this means is, on a ship like the galaxy-x, you can double up on engineering powers and also keep your tac powers at global. It also means you can get the full bonus to an [AMP] core and make use of the Nukara t4 damage trait.

    EDIT: what letsfadeaway said :)

So I just pugged an ISA in a similar build (ship config, not going to respec) without The same quality gear (No BH friend, and only 5 Phasers are MK XIV VR [CrtD]x3 ) and I parsed 36k. Which is my highest to date in any of my ships. My Previous high was 34k in my Guardian.

So, thanks for posting the build. :)

An interesting looking build. At the moment I'm running Rommie Plasma CrtD beams on mine and it seems to get the job done fairly well. I've got the Perigrines in mine though. :/
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

Nice concept, i never liked to rely purly on AtB.
I'm definitely going to try to make it work on one of my ships.

I love this ship, I love this build, and I love the results.

Thank you for sharing it. It definitely gives more things/builds for me to play with in STO.

Cryptic should give you a commission on the Gal-X I'm going to buy someday because of this post :)

thank for this post because i love this ship, but i have a question, looking at your skillpoint layout, i don't anderstand 9 point in drivers coil.
this is supposed to allow your ship to retain power level while at full impulse, it is also giving you a very slight bonus turn rate if i remember correctly ( i remember testing it on tribble and it give me with this ship a 0.1 bonus turn LOL )
but i can't see any direct connection with dps, maybe there is something that i don't known yet.
or you just put some points here for fun because they are cheap?
i really want to known your point of view on this.

On the OP's build, why use the Bioneural Infusion Circuits? Aside from CitD, is it doing anything to DPS?

Doesn't boosting CrtD help with DoT which assists DPS? Otherwise, what would be a better alternative?

    *sigh* another useless DPS thread.

Something not achievable for the majority of the player base, which compounds whats wrong with STO even more, which entails the devs to cater or nerf, depending on which will make them money, content and NPCs.

Less and less variety of builds, more and more focus on the pew pew DPS race. I miss the days when you needed an engineer to heal the escorts, and sci to crowd control.

Bull****. It's absolutely achievable by anyone in the game.

The only thing expensive about the build is the Epic Warp Core. Which you can just retain it at UR.

But, Jena is right, it is achieveable by all. If you can afford those 4 Neutroniums and Dmgx4 weapons mods, you can afford this.

I was looking at the DPS table yesterday and noticed that 3500 players had reached 10k or more.

    Not 35

    Not 350

Yes 3500+ have at least once reached 10k and recorded parse.

This is minus the unrecorded 10k+ dpsers. Compare the 3500+ vs the few dozen who complained about PvE nowadays.

Must have been prior to S5... Especially when were only sci able to fly ships with lt.cmd. Sci or higher seating? And an engineer as healer? Even considering trinity, there is much wrong in this post...

I'm just a little puzzled as to why Infected (Advanced) is still the 'benchmark' for DPS.

Whilst I am fully aware that there is no Infected Elite (yet), surely the DPS seekers should be using Elite content to test how uber their ships are?

Because we are waiting for ISE to be implemented. All other missions have long times without fights or other handicaps. The only other mission I could think of is HSE, but here you would need a 30k-team (+ a scitank) to begin with. So its not a viable measurement map.
