Hi everyone I thought I would stop by here and let you guys know that I have started a new show on my youtube channel.
It is call Star Trek Online Cadet to Fleet Admiral. It is a "lets play" series where I start a new Fed Toon and play through the game. It is intended as a guide for new players, as well as a bit of fun for me.
I will be releasing one show a week in which I intend to play though one mission, two if they are short.
Episode one is out now, and number 2 should be out shortly. I am also going to try and play the entire game without using anything from the C-Store (other than cosmetic things), so it should be fun to see how I do.
Now this is the first time I have done anything like this, so it is likely to be shaky at first, but I hope to improve as time move on.
I hope you all enjoy it.

Well, as it is a free to play game, i give you permission to start a free to play account.
There will be NO CHARGE to you, as you are making videos. Otherwise it would be free.
You can use this 'free' account, provided at NO CHARGE to you to make authentic videos of the 'free to not pay' experience.

I did in fact consider making a new account for the videos, but thought better of it.
The only real game changer is the 5% skill boost which I think has a minimum impact.
Where as the pros are: I have access to all my C-Store unlocks for costumes, I am able to show the benefits of certain items, and I also have access to my friends list for team play (something which I want to feature at some point).

I get all of that. Completely understand. And you can do all of that with a free to play account. You could even show how the upgrade system works.
What you would never have to do is say..."well this is cause I'm a sub, if you're free to play you couldn't be doing this'.
See the point? If you are making videos of something, use that something.
Just edit your video. There's no law saying you can't show bits from both accounts in one video. Might be a bit of a chore, but in the long run I think you'll find it a bit more helpful to have the second account, then to wish you'd done it in the first place.
I think you misunderstand what I am doing here. This series is meant as a bit of a guide to new players, but the main point is I just want to see how well I can do without the help of all the C-Store stuff (ships mainly). And as I said before the only real game changer I have active this way is a 5% skill boost, which in my opinion is small enough to discount when you look at the big picture.
The point is I want to be able to use my C-Store costumes, both for the character and ship with out having to buy them again on a new account, as these do not alter the game play at all.
Finally I want to be able to use my C-Store ships/Items if I get to a point where I feel I need to (if ever).
However I do appreciate your feedback on it.

Will give me something to watch at work other then the stuff I'm actually paid to watch.
I am streaming again this Monday 20th May as a one off as i have an opening, and again on Wednesday as normal. I am trying to get guests on from time to time, and am currently working on getting the region 7 coordinator for starfleet international on the show.
