Is this account wide unlock?

If not please make it.

Event that only happens once per hour and is needed 10 times on every char is insane.

    This is something I am wondering myself. I have a couple of toons that can use the core in a build I have in mind.

    Really hope it is account wide. No reason it couldn't be.
    If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

    Why does this need to be done 10 times on every character? I thought you had to complete it once to be able to do the other stuff? :confused:

    So if I have 20 characters that need to run it 10 times each to unlock the warp core, it will take 200 hours, which if I have 4 hours to play every night, will take me approximately 50 days. The event will be over before I finish.

    I'm thinking that this is just a bug, since the dev blog said that you only have to complete it once. I suggest everyone report it as such.

    You must complete the "Tides of Ice" event ten times before you can purchase this item.

    I highly doubt that, just double-click on the items of your desire :

    - You must complete the "Tides of Ice" event x1 ... "Avalanche Airstrike" etc
    - You must complete the "Tides of Ice" event x5 ... "New Guns" etc
    - You must complete the "Tides of Ice" event x10 ... "Warp Core" etc
    Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

    No, the dev blog says AT LEAST ONCE. Apparently that's for the lowest tier stuff.

    Well there's an accolade for it....so it looks like it is per toon. This was a sensible decision they implemented....sighs. :/

    It's definitely per toon.
    I unlocked some things with playing Tides of ice on one char, but it's not unlocked at the others.

    OK, forget it then.

    I can also confirm that you have to do it on each char. Just finished my 5th Tides and switched chars to check. Not unlocked, still says I need to run it five times on the char I switched to. Guess i will just do it on 2 chars and call it good. So to repeat, you have to run the tides of ice on every char you have to unlock the new winter items for each one.10 chars = 50 hrs for the 5 time unlock and 100 hours for the 10 time unlock. WOW

    they want you to log in at least 10 days...

    do it once a day for 10 days... forget the alts.

    your alts can do it when they can and finish next year :p


    sides you only need to grind this if you want the ship's core or other goodies...

    This nerfs the mechanic put in for alts. They made it so we didn't have to run the race 25 times on each alt and this new mechanic makes us have to do Tides 10 times each on each alt.

    Stealth nerf yet again. Nice. /sarcasm

    S9.5 and on was that major about face compared to what they'd been doing earlier through the year...

    The change from what Stahl had planned and what D'Angelo plans?

    "Other Goodies" includes the actually-pretty-good kit modules. But running it 10 times per alt to get them? Like someone else said, TRIBBLE that.
