recently I got a torpedo accolade in CCA, without even having a torpedo on board. Log also said I did disruptor array damage, again neither disruptors nor arrays on board.

Wow, now that's messed up...ok, well....
Guess I'll mark this one down as an anomoly and move on.
4 fleetmates queue for this, 1 pug is added to our team.
The 4 fleetmates (myself included) do about 2 - 2.5 million dmg (with an average of 7000 DPS)
The Pug... 1.4 mil in Dmg (with 44k DPS) !!! yes that is not a typo 44k DPS with a meager 1.4 mil in dmg...
^
How is that even possible ?
I would expect someone with 44k DPS would do at least 8 million in dmg
if by comparison I did 2.5mill dmg and (7500DPS)
We were kind of scratching our heads at this reading.
Any ideas as to how this pug had such high DPS but only did 1.4 mil in dmg ?
(Im not complaining about the Pug, we completed the mision easily, and he/she was a competant teamate and all, I'm just a bit confused).
I've never seen such an odd dps/dmg score like this before, and I've done hundreds, if not thousands of PvE with parsing.
Did you know that if you take the damage done you gave for your guys and divide by the dps figure you gave for your guys, you come out with a number with units of seconds. If you take that number of seconds and divide the figure of 1.4 million damage you come up with...somewhere around 4k. You'll find a range. Plus I don't have exact numbers to work with, just ballpark...but...
Looks like his DPS figure was goofed by a factor of ten or so. He was prolly around 4400 DPS and not 44,000.

If you use combatlogreader, are you using DPS Chan settings or default? Default only counts time= time entity shoots, and not time=time from first to last engagement in fight. So if you only fire when fully buffed, you can get high dps with low dmg when using default settings. If you use dpschans, then low dmg will result in low dps, if the player didnt just play for a short time(e.g. uses every buff once and then just wait out of range till everything is over, so is time in combat is also very short).
Thats why dps chan settings are used, as default would mean a guramba can easily obtain 300k dps, by a bit of firing and fully buffing the lance, then run and wait till the mission is over, resulting in 300k dps by ~400k dmg.
