Cryptic devs i hope you read this

Why not let US the players create exploration missions in the same manner as the foundry

the only exception is it would be exploration themed

i know not the most well thought out idea but if you just let us players write the exploration missions foundry style you could even open a new part for the foundry...foundry exploration missions.

this way we get exploration you guys get free content made by the players and fans of star trek and the game :)

I guess you missed the Memo ... they already did ... at least they think they did, by opening up Clusters as Foundry Doors ... and hey there are ~10 Foundry Missions to play there (most of them about Exploration), if you manage to find them ... anything else seems to be too much effort ...
Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

True exploration requires a random selection of Foundry missions, dev-created missions, and procedurally generated content. Exploration is all about exploring the unknown. If I have to open up the Foundry window to select an Exploration mission, then it is not Exploration.

While a great idea, they have done it like someone above stated but again cut themselves short and while exploration would be nice, Cryptic has simply NOT used the foundry community effectively and not at all. It is Cryptics fault for not using the foundry community to fill in the holes they are unwilling or don't have to time to do.

It is truly amazing how many systems could be improved by using the Foundry. The players always complain about a lack of ship interiors and the dev's excuse is it always takes too much time and they need a reason to develop ship interiors like the Voyager interiors and the new Intrepid interiors we get. Foundry is the perfect method to solve this problem by letting the players develop the ship interiors they want. Part of the reason I bought the Intrepid bundle was for the Borg Alcoves for my Liberated Borg Captain and her Liberated Borg crew members.

Also, the Foundry could be used to create missions for the Advanced Queues. Players could submit their missions to the devs and they could be given proper rewards. It is tedious to play Infected Space Advanced or Bug Hunt Advanced for the 50th time because the other Queues are not appealing. Cryptic has a problem with reusing old content which hurts their development.

I'd really like to know if making custom interiors via Foundry is possible to pull off. I can't see why not but who knows, Cryptic's engine is difficult to use apparently.
Retired. I'm now in search for that perfect space anomaly.

Some people have already done it. A couple of months ago, Cryptic added a Housing tag that could be used for Foundry missions. The problem with these custom interiors is the lack of functionality. So they are just maps instead of being the personal hubs that other MMOs have with Player Housing like SWTOR and Wildstar.

Custom Interiors could be easily monetized. Everyone gets the standard selection of decorations, but some decorations could be limited to lockboxes and the C-Store.

Read the thread in my sig. I've suggested something like what I suggest there, over and over since launch.

It's not hard to do. It could have been done using the original system, with some additions and tweaks.

But, there's not enough pew pew, I guess. Or perhaps they couldn't figure out a way to put it on the store.

Whatever. They have no idea what Star Trek is actually about. I'm almost happier that they don't do anything with their tendency to TRIBBLE things up so egregiously.

Pew Pew is far more fun to the average MMO player than lets resolve our problems through diplomacy like civil individuals.

Had an idea of adding additional Tiers to ships. So a Fleet T5-U Tactical Escort Retrofit would have a T5-U in combat, but Tier 1 in Exploration, Colonial Support, Research, etc. while a Constitution would have a Tier 1 in combat, but Tier 4 in other areas. However, this would require additional work in creating new types of content that goes beyond Pew Pew.
