Is this a possible incoming ship, hmmm Cryptic?

Romulan tier 6 dreadnought

May just be some concept art and, not the actual finished product but, I suspect people will be like wtf!

    each faction had the same amount of t6 ships planned but then they decided they didn't have enough time to finish them before DR launch so they went with mostly fed ships.

    I hope one day we get other faction ships. It would be a great addition before Christmas but I wouldn't hold my breath.

    Unlikely. That appears to be just another fan design on deviantart.



    If it isn't canon or an in-house design, odds are very good that you will never see it in the game.

    1. The T5 Scimitar is still OP as it is, even with T6 ships around. We don't really need a T6 Scmitar that would end up being 5 classes above every other ship in it's tier.

    2. That doesn't look like a Romulan ship, nor Reman for that matter. It looks like one of those J.J. abominations.

    3. As oldravenman3025 said, that's a fan design so it's a no-no.

    I guess all the sharp bits in the front are to keep any Sovereign class cruisers from ramming into it again?

    You have to admit, though, a T6 version with a commander tactical/intel seating would sell like hotcakes. As in all fairness, some of the intel abilities would make the performance feel like the original Scimitar did in the movie.

    I think there is a simple way to make a Tier 6 Scimitar.

    Take the Tier 5 Upgrade Scimitar. Strike through Tier 5 Upgrade and replace it with Tier 6.
    Optionally: Change one Lt. level slot or lower to Intel Specialization.
    Then add a Starship Trait that is more of a help to other ships than the Scimitar. 5 % bonus hit points for pets or something like that. (Helps only Carriers, but at least it's something that won't really mke or break the Scimitar.)
    Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

    Why Not, Odyssey was a fan design. People tend to forget that.

    But it was made in a contest with very specific rules to ensure that the situation on the rights were clear.

    Even the Vesta was a major hassle, despite this actually being something made under the Star Trek license (for the novel line) and the creator (Rademaker) actually willing to assist.

    Never say never, but you can say highly unlikely anything like that will happen again.

    We will eventually see a ship that will eclipse the Scimitar. Whether or not it' a T6 variant or something entirely new is yours to speculate.

    Cryptic will do what is financially beneficial regardless of the impact on the game.

    Hardly any "Romulan" ship looks like a logical evolution from those ships we know. All those weird insectoid ships with pointy things, mandibles, antennas - what's wrong with the D'deridex?

    As someone that flies a T6 ship on one character and a T5-U Scimitar on another.. I can say I agree with you.

    The Scimitar is still the best ship in the game, bar none. In PVE (I don't PvP) it can out damage anything while tanking with the best of them.

    I kinda like the design the OP posted, but I have to agree that when it comes to the Scimitar it's fine the way it is. It already makes T6 ships a joke, upgrading it further would be kind of silly.

    The d'deridex is like the Kim Kardashian of Romulan ships - chunky in places that many like, but many don't, even though it gets a lot of attention regardless.

    Doesn't look like a Romulan ship. Perhaps a Xindi insectoid ship. A borgified xindi insectoid ship.

    So a slave race of cannon fodder just happen to create the most advanced ship in the Beta Quadrant. And pigs can fly.

    The Scim was pure Romulan Military hardware - the Remans wouldn't even be able to design the Scim, let alone actually construct it without major Romulan assistance.


    And Picard only won because he was less of a n00b than Shinzon, the Scim would have utterly wasted any other vessel known in the galaxy had it had a competent pilot.

    The scimitar is a Reman design. Deal with it. That's why it's full of angle when Romulan warbirds are more sleek and round. The only thing they have in common, is they all look like birds of prey. Somehow. But this fan art doesn't look like a bird of prey, it looks like an insect, or a spider.
    As for how they built it, well it doesn't makes much sense. But then, the plot of Nemesis is not that strong either :)

    Enjoy your flying pig belief, try again once you understand just how impossible it is for the Scim to be a Reman design.
