1. The Battle of Korfez is a joke. In a Tier 6 ship, with VR-UR Mk 12-14 gear and years of experience, I cannot complete this event. The thirty-somethingth time being awarded a pathetic 10 Delta Marks after getting as far as the trilithium torpedo carrier has clinched my desire to ever do this map again. Either EVERYONE sucks or this map is in need of adjustment.
2. No one plays Borg Disconnected. At least, not above Normal mode.
So how the hell does one get Ancient Power Cells when there's no viable place to collect them? I don't mind a challenge, but I'd rather the challenge be a test of my own skill and not a test of my patience for other people.
Bug Hunt advanced gets you 1, elite 2, everything else is gamble from the reputation boxes....oh and if i remember correctly...one is a quest reward on Kobali prime...but only once.
Battle of Korfez is elite, and is supposed to be accomplished by the best players with the best gear. It's a lot like advanced space. :P
Bug Hunt advanced takes gearing and build refining, but it can be accomplished by lesser players such as myself. Best have some regenerators in inventory or the bank.
I Think you need 43 to get the all the kit space & ground
4 space items @ 5 each = 20
3 ordnance @ 2 each = 6
3 ground @ 5 each = 15
1 kit @ 2 =2
you can get them as drops in the prep system i think, but not sure.
Bug hunt is do-able in pugging and drops one at adv.
Don't worry about defending the NPC (van derveer) at the end to place the charges, just DPS the spawn mother.
I've only ever seen him do 1 charge. To be honest I think the time he takes exceeds the mission timer anyway.
I've never managed to do Borg Disconnected. so I don't even try now.
It's a shame the the Adv was made so hard to do. This means that the rep kit is so hard to get you need to upgrade "normal" stuff. Then you will have better kit than the rep system kit . so it makes no sense trying to get it.
The Borg neural procs are the worst to get now. Romulan kit does not need and ADV/Elte drop, so the rom/rem kit is there to be had. the same goes for the tholian stuff too. dyson and undine can get ground out in the sphere battle zones and bug hunt ADV will do for the delta rep.
This leaves the multiple sets in the omega rep system almost impossible to get for the "normal" player. Why they had to make it so difficult I just don't know. OK make a new elite level. but the old elite was do-able. the options were not always got, so it was not "easy". Now with the old option a failure flag its just to hard and not enjoyable.
All that needs to happen is it put back to the old way, rename elite to Advanced and add a super hard elite. tHen everyone should be happy.
My advice to OP and everybody else is stop asking advices on forum about how to get new resources because
it seems dev's are reading these forums and they are doing the opposite and will nerf any mean to obtain resources as soon as they find that there is a way other than what they consider "acceptable"
First nerf ("Jaipori" -XP nerf) come after some posts on forum ,second nerf (Doffing and critters kill value) originated again from forum posts so I think best is to not ask any advice regarding resource gathering.

I thought the Systems were change to make it a more level playing field.
The original reason for the 4 space and 4 ground traids from the rep system was to stop older characters have and advantage over newer characters. (despite the rep system being able to be done in 40 days)
The Current system now basically stops newer player characters getting the omega stuff. So an older toon with the Assim, Omega and MACO sets ha an advantage over newer toons
BHE is the new ISE with the proper gear and knowledge. Know it, do it, grind it.
Just remember, never have 17X more fun than on another STF, or it will be nerfed to oblivion, perhaps even removed from the game.
The original reason for the 4 space and 4 ground traids from the rep system was to stop older characters have and advantage over newer characters. (despite the rep system being able to be done in 40 days)
That excuse was BS back then, with every vets running expensive ship full of very expensive DOFF/BOFF and consoles. The difference between a vets scimitard a2b+demarion with SRO BOFF and plasmonic, tachyokinetic... consoles, and a newer character was more than huge. A new character used to do 8-10K DPS top, while an average scimitard player used to do 20-30k DPS.
And now, it's even more ridiculous. The entire upgrade system, t5u-6, ship mastery, specialization... are all giant gaps between newer characters and vets. Added to what used to be a gap before.
And it will get only worse, as more spec will be added, and more T6, including FT6.
We already have 50-100K DPS players, while the new character is still stuck at 10K. At this point, that's not a gap, that's a different universe.
And you know the most funny part ? The expansion was already planned, since we had some voice already in the files for leveling above 50. Also, you don't plan something as huge as the upgrade system, R&D revamp and leveling cap overnight, it's planned at least a year before, if not more.
And still, they kept a straight face when they nerfed the rep power. That ask for an amazing amount of self control.

As someone who has finished all reputations on multiple toons, i can say that it was a good decision to limit it to 4/4 traits.
If i look at my traits list...if i could use all of them at once...i would be unstoppable...even if afk.
I am here since beta and i remember the days when omega stuff was elite drops only. It was hard and you had to be lucky...but it also had no alternative at endgame. Today there are many good sets and you dont NEED omega gear. Nukara is fine, Breen, Jem Hadar...romulan sets....there are now lots of good items, which do not need neural processors (or ancient power cells).
But the new advanced STFs are too long and have to few rewards. I can get over 8K dil for just the daylies and 3 Dinosaur kills at the Voth Battlezone. And thats about 15 Minutes...why waste my time in one Elite Borg STF?
The rewards are simply not balanced and the skillpoints are too low atm. Maybe this will change...till then...i'll adapt my playstyle

8472 space gear can be obtained without ever going into a PVE queue
Dyson space gear can be obtained without ever going into a PVE queue
New Romulus space gear can be obtained without ever going into a PVE queue
Nukara space gear can be obtained without ever going into a PVE queue
Assimilated 3pc set can be obtained if you get to tier 5 Omega rep
OR
Maco/Adapted KHG/Omega/KHG 2pc set can be obtained if you get to tier 5 Omega rep
When you reach Omega tier 5 you recieve a care package which has EC, some dil, some marks but more importantly 10 borg neural processors. The full assimilated space set only costs 9 BNP total to create. But the other space sets require 15 total to create, 5 BNP per piece. If you dont have the patience to wait until tier 5 you either need to find the patience to wait or you need to start looking at the other reps as an alternative. If you dont know how to read the stats that are on the deflectors, engines and shields you should learn. That way you can find comparable pieces outside of Omega rep or you can find pieces that are more suited for the build you are putting together.
You could petition/beg the devs to add in borg neural processors and power cells in Defari or Kobali Prime ground zones. That way they are close to the same as injectors and implants (which you can get outside of instances). But personally i would keep quiet about that. Because the devs could also take away injectors and implants from the Dyson ground BZ and Undine space BZ so that now everything needs advanced/elite runs for gear...or tier 5 rep completion.

Forget pugging korfez or BDA. Success = appx 0.0%
Bug hunt is the way to go. I'd get what you need from that asap before it gets some special attention. The success rate is over 50% so expect a major "fix."

Actually, it doesn't. All it takes is the ability to think more than one step ahead which you argue cryptic did.
Take all these new systems. Crafting, equipment, specializations, traits. They all have a theoretical limit. Even if cryptic adds more stuff to the game you're still facing a choice between primary/secondary specializations, starship traits, weapons, ect. ect. That was NOT the case with the old rep powers. EVERY time cryptic added a new rep tree the maximum number of buffs you had increased, requiring that some limitation be imposed in spite of the buffs occuring elsewhere (because the issue wasn't that more stuff was being added, but rather how this particular system responded to those new updates). And fortunately it was.
Differences between new and old players are not BAD. They're in fact what justifies playtime spent in an MMO (if my character isn't going to be improved by what I do what's the point of spending so much time with it?) And though the gap between players has been increased, we shouldn't oversimplify the situation and assume that every action taken by cryptic directly factored into an explicit attempt to increase it (for no other apparent reason, you might assume from your post, than vindictively stamping on the little guy) or failed attempt to do otherwise.
That is just mob fodder.

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
I am not a big fan of queue missions either.
IMO Delta Rep really needs a battlezone of its own to award Ancient Power Cells. Just like Dyson Rep or 8472 Rep does. A Ground or Space battle zone.
I mean, Kobali Prime is just an adventure zone, just like New Romulus or Nukara.
And New Romulus rep and Nukara Rep doesn't have special "tokens" needed to buy gear with, only thier own regular marks.
While Dyson rep and 8472 rep does have the tokens needed to buy gear, and they also have those wonderful battlezones which reward them.
Now you could use the arguement that Omega Rep doesn't have a battlezone either, but that one is the odd one out. Its a transfer from the old system, made before they introduced battlezones and other reps.
And it doesn't seem like they wanna mess with that rep system part anymore.
Now I was also until a while ago I was under the impression that Defera rewarded stuff related to Omega, but now I am unsure, since I never really looked at Defera. I got all I wanted from Omega Rep long ago.
But anyway, why shouldn't Delta Rep have a battlezone for people that don't wanna do PvE queues? ^^

Star Trek V: "The Final Frontier"
I used to like the Queues, the Omega ones are just a time sink, for little or no reward now. The Fleet ones are OK, but are just pew, pew, pew. SB24 is just manic, Screen rates drop drastically and you cant do anything.
Crysatline Catastrophe is OK, just get lucky and pug with a scimtr and its all over in a matter of seconds.
I'm not a big fan of the ground missions, so i don't tend to play them. There is plent to do in the dyson battle ground and toy get plenty of reward, for your time spent.
So its now down to the battlegrounds, adventure zones and system partols.
