Switching from Scryer to Vesta (Build Assistance)

Greetings Captains,

I retired from STO a long time ago and came back for DR. I bought a Scryer, played through some new content but the look of the Scryer bothered me more than I though and the Intel abilities were a bit of a let down.

I got the Vesta pack and would greatly appreciate any suggestions. I'm a Science captain focusing on Gravity Well using the Aux Phaser Cannons.

    Ok, your first thing before giving up on the Scryer. Slot "Override Subsystem Safeties" 1&2 into the intel Ensign and Luitenant boff slots.

    Go into a map, Use OSS+Grav Well. and then realize no other SCI ship in game can do what you just did.

    EDIT: Sorry guess the new Intrepid can too. But if you like Grav Well, it's really onlt one or the other for the best grav wells possible.

    My tac Vesta as T5U is fun... Just grinded up the 5th mastery for the Pathfinder Class and now I'm back on my Vesta Class blowing things up like usual.

    I ditched cannons for mine & use AP beams. Works nicely with 22% Crit Chance and 120% crit severity for most things.

    If you want to science in your face stay with the scryer.

    If you want a sci ship that you can pretend is an escort then play the vesta.

    If you have been around a while and are sitting on a mountain of items outfit both and flip a coin for each mission.

    Also Alpha strike Vesta builds are hilarious. You only average 11k damage for the mission usually but soloing stf tac cubes in under 3 seconds in a sci ship is just priceless.
