Are you looking for a little extra dilithium but dont know where to go? Are you asking around and note getting the answers youre looking for? I hate that too therefore, here is a quick how to get dil guide for those of us who always seem to be chasing our own tails.
1: The mines. Yes, pretty basic but worth it. Hit your fleet dilithium mines every day. This will pull you a fair share of dil. Make sure to use the DOFF mission to increase your cap! Once done here, go to the Vlugta dil mine asteroid (in the Alpha Quad, south of DS9) and do the missions there. If you have any VIP claims for the rich dil, it is your choice to use them now or save them for a dbl dil weekend event.
2: Since youre near DS9 anyway, why not head north to Deferri space where you can contact Ambassador Surah who will give you a score of missions, mostly space, to complete for both xp and dil rewards. All up, upon completion you will receive in excess of 2000 dil. Once done, head off.
3: There are a few random missions here and there to gain a little dil, but I find those both boring and not entirely profitable. At this point I head to Allied Sphere Space and to the Ground Battle Zone. Get all of the missions you can there then head out. If you are running solo, check your map to ensure you capture two zones in the appropriate area to get credit for the mission. After that, head anywhere.
Now, this is important, watch for the three silos with the Bioengineered T Rexes to show up. What happens next is pivitol for maximum dil gain. When they are active, head to the park, shoot the rex cause some damage, then RUN back to the transporter. Next stop, the outskirts, where you head to the T Rex and do the same thing cause some damage, then run back to the transporter, head to the CITY. Get to that third Rex and this time, stay and fight. Damage this T Rex and make sure the surrounding Voth medics are taken care of. When that one falls, youll gain some dil and xp.
*Note, youll have to cause a decent amount of damage for this to work, so take more than a few potshots before moving on but dont linger too much.
If you did the first two correctly, when they fall youll also gain some dil and xp. When all THREE fall, youll gain over 5000 dil as well as an accolade (cant be an exploit if theres an in-game accolade for it)
By the time youve done this, congratulations! Youve got a nice pocketful of dil, XP and drops you can them sell for EC, as well as reputation marks and other goodies.
Do this daily and you can spend the rest of your time playing for run, knowing you now have more dil than you can even refine in a single day.
Yes, there are a few other missions here and there to gain dil but as I said, I focus primarily on these ones as they give a good reward without taking too many hours of running around. Other people may have other suggestions
I refuse to do any content that is not "FUN" for me. Everything you stated is in that category for me. If i were to do this every day i would just quit, this isnt my job... its a game.
Sure i can name a few ways to get dill... but why the hell should i be forced into playing the same secondary TRIBBLE every day? I want rewards for everything, not choose... fun or profit. ITS A GAME!

It is a game... but in order to obtain one must work. You can't expect profit without investment.
Take a little time for a dil run in the beginning and sped the rest of your play time doing what you want. It's all fun and profit!
Takes about an hour to do a full set of dilithium runs from the Orellius and the ones in Eta Eridani, sure you get a decent amount of dilithium but that hour is all some people had to play in a day.
Hey OP, remember right after DR launched and you made a post about how to gain xp fast in Tau Dewa sector? If memory served you made sure to point out that it was "not an exploit" and then just days later the entire sector got shut down and xp reworked? Remind me to thank you when Voth BZ gets the dilithium nerfed....

'Cuz your last thread declaring "It can't be an Exploit!!!" turned out so well...

Heh I was thinking to myself, how long will it take before someone brings up the Tau Dewa fiasco?
They may nerf the dil gain in the Voth BZ but not because its an exploit. The key difference between this and the other is you get an in-game accolade for doing this/ Its kind of difficult to call something exploitive if the game gives you a trophy for doing it, no?
If they nerf it (and for the record, I am sure they will hence trying to get more people to gain from it before this happens) it will be for the same, lame reason they nerfed EVERYTHING in this game: Cryptic does not want you to level too quickly or complete events/upgrading because you will instantly get bored and leave. The gaps between new content releases are too great and the content itself leaves much to be desired so the only thing they CAN do is slow your progress down at every turn in hopes that youll keep playing because I have to make that next level/upgrade/specialization etc.
You get 90 Dil for each point you help take. Killing all 3 Planet killers gets you 2600 and 3 Injections which you can convert to 1k Dil using Rep project. You can make 4k a run, doesn't take long and it's actually fun. the one bright side to the fact that Ques are no longer playable is the fact that more people run Battle Zones. The Planet Killer missions never fail anymore.
When/if they nerf that.. it will be the last straw. That's what I have set as my que to finally just quit. Right now it's the only fun thing I can do that's semi profitable, everything else I used to due (Que missions) have been utterly destroyed.
Voth Ground BZ is also a good source, sometimes I do that one too. I just prefer flying my ship over ground combat.

Well they just did buff the dim rewards of battle zones by 50% so... I don't see where you are going with this.
Kurland Here Kurland Here This is Kurland Kurland Kurland Here Kurland, Do you copy?
hey OP, have you learned your lesson yet? Every time you make a point of pointing out something beneficial to the players on these forums a nerf follows. I do hope you are proud of yourself, I know I am proud of you!
Earning dilithium really isn't a problem anymore for a lot of people. The time gating inherent in the refine cap is. I am sitting on a 1,000,000+ dilithium on 3 toons. Just running a few STFs a day to get crafting materials I end up with a surplus over my refining cap due to the fact that most of my reps are capped and all the spare marks and items get converted.
To really go for an endgame setup requires refined dilithium in enormous quantities, and that will always be limited by the refining cap unless you spend Zen for it.
My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.
