:mad:Prior to Thursday, the amount of specialization/xp points required to level for a specialization point was somewhere between 55,000 and 60,000. To my surprise and utter disgust, I found that this amount has tripled. STO..do you not realize that this game is 90% grind already..and you've just tripled the work for everyone who is actually trying to enjoy the game? Are you trying to lose players? Because thats what I'm hearing and what I'm seeing. Players that have played the game since inception..even beta players..have laid down their "mice" and said.."maybe Destiny is a decent game..without the constant unending grind." YOu've really screwed the pooch this time. We are all hoping that this isn't a "slap in the face" for those who found and exploited the "exploit" at Japori. If so..then I know there will be more leaving. There are people who spent or are spending a considerable amount of money on this game..that now..feel like it was all wasted..where does it end? Seems like when you finally get a grip on whats going on, you do something to TRIBBLE everyone up. WEll, we're keeping score..and your batting average for TRIBBLE the pooch is pretty close to 100%...granted..you do many things that are good too..but have you heard the saying...you can get 1,000 "that a boy's", but the minute you get a "you screwed up"..everyone forgets about those 1,000 "that a boy's". Like I said, I hope its a mistake..but if its not...money spent be damned..I'lll find another game to play.
Skill point rewards have also increased. i dont know if its purely a numbers thing and you wont notice the change or if the leveling is now a bit slower or quicker but its not just a flat increase to the cost.
So, let's pretend you get to 60. Then what? Oh, that's right, complaining there's not enough content.
Seriously, don't worry about the destination or how long it will take to get there. Just play and do different things so that the ride is not so monotonous. The point of a game is to have fun, and that means the journey should be the focus.

it seems its mostly to correct some anomalous numbers and the speed of leveling should not be affected.

Otherwise, there is always Eve Online.
Good luck.
In practice, this has already been mathematically proven wrong. At least that is my understanding of the matter.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
