I REALLY love the way it looks. I'm tempted to get it based on looks alone. Unfortunately, the BO layout just won't work for my play style. I really wish you guys would let us customize the BO and console layouts. Other than that, great job on the new ship.
It is absolutely beautiful! But there is still one looming reason why I cannot, and will not buy it, and that is the lack of a Warship Voyager variant. Now if we did get a Warship Voyager, I would be first in line to buy it. A pure Escort that uses the Intrepid skins, that is what I want, and I would actually pay up for it.
i have to say it is a well done design , Thomas the Cat did a fantastic job on her.my only nick pick is how small the name and registry appear on the saucer but thats just a minor thing .
the intrepid has been my favorite ship for a long while and the pathfinder is my second favorite now .
Yeah, you can't really interchange the pieces, because of a big step on or off the saucer. The nacelles look good on anything though.
I am really pleased that they're references "Star Trek" again with the ships. People slag-of the other Tier 6's and I'll admit, I don't think they look consistent, but the Pathfinder is true the rules.
I am surprised it was an Engineering Intel and now a Science though...
It's extremely versatile with the new BoFF layout. The Universal Lt and the Eng/Int Lt are fantastic for customising it to be a pure Science ship or a more tanky/offensive Science loadout. Still a little annoyed by the two tac slots, but hey that happens.
Chris Robert's on SC:
"You don't have to do something again and again and again repetitive that doesn't have much challange, that's just a general good gameplay thing."
Agreed. Big kudos to the designer - the Pathfinder is a gorgeous design.
Personally, I popped the Intrepid-class pylons on mine, as didn't much like the downswept ones, and LOVE how it looks.
Yep. The differences Nacelles and Pylons play overal nice with the models, and the Intrepid Pylons are probably still the best of the available choices. I didn't like the downswept ones either. Though, interestingly, I found them nice when viewing the Pathfinder from the ESD ship yard.

i do want to figure out why i cant see the intrepid pack on the zen store .... i will be unable to buy the pathfinder with the interiors ...... at least during the promotion time and according to the zen store once the promotion is over the interiors will only be available by buying the intrepid pack ...... i already own the retrofit so does this mean i wont be able to get the interiors at all ????

I did exaclty the same! Kept everything from the Patfinder design except the pylons, where I used the standard Intrepid ones.
The downward swept ones just looked a bit weird to me when looking the ship from behind, plus from a nerd nitpicking perspective - the reason the nacelles on the Intrepid moved was so there can be line of sight between the pylons in warp, which was necessary according to the "Roddenberry rules", so them having line of sight in system space while not having it in warp felt wrong.
But I'll tell you this, the Pathfinder with the Intrepid pylons and nacelles positioned in a flat line looks like a million bucks. Add to that the Voyager interior set and mmmmmm.....:o
I have been looking at getting it myself. It looks really good but I was just concerned about the 5k zen. Its a bit much to get the pack. Plus the Boff layout looked a little lacking. My sci is flying the intel science ship (forget the name). Although I havnt really played with it yet it seems like it might have better boff options. Does this intrepid play well? Is there a console bonus?

Yep the feds are the favored sons.
I did the same as well as the Nacelles.
