The Servers go down based on the Metrics which show that the least number of players are online at this particular time. The time was chosen so-as to bother the least number of people. Unfortunately you just happen to be one of those least number.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

This is truth. Probably should add this to the fct as well...

Huh, usually these complaints come from someone in europe, since you know, we get our interruptions right in the middle of the afternoon when many of us are actually playing, rather than first thing in the morning like you americans do where most of you will just sleep through it. Honestly though I support this idea wholeheartedly, please do move maintenance to before I wake up so I don't get my playtime interrupted. I will gladly take that form of 'suffering'.

    hey op,

dont go mad, in EU we usually go to school/work and when we get home ready to relax and play some sto after the day, we sit 3-4 hours staring on the maintenance announcements

and when holodeck is back online we need to go sleep so we can get up next day to repeat whats written above

I think the developers are doing the best they can and I'm satisfied with the game....issues and all.
Maybe we could just be patient with them and attend matters in the real world until service is restored.
Belittling them solves no problems and makes no friends. It's only a game sports fans. The world will turn.

No- Matter what time of day or indeed which day they take the servers down, someone, somewhere will be inconvenienced!

Its maintenance, has to happen, play something else for the time, I can recommend plenty of good games. Go for a walk, whittle out a golden eagle from cheese sticks, goodness go do something other than feel bad you cant play a game for that short amount of time!

Yeah, and I'm probably going to be in the same boat this winter because I got a job as a package handler at UPS. Some days I'll be going in at 11 PM and getting off when most people are showing up for work.

It's just math. Statistically the fewest people are online in midmorning EST because PWE's market share is biggest in the continental US, and statistically most Americans are either at work or at school at that time of day. If STO was biggest in China, same story, different time zone.

Now looking at the first post, I honestly fail to find the humour. Please do tell me where I read it wrong as to me it sounds like whining!

I am happy to be put right on this matter!

If you will look at the career postings you will see that many are in Europe. So if you are wondering if they will ever do that you can find the answer here
