A found Mine Trap to be a fun little mission.
Yet i have not seen more than 2 people queuing up for this thing.
It would not surprise me if nobody has pugged this since DR.
Heck I don't even know what Advanced Mine Trap looks like.
They need to either lower the player numbers required to start these as pugs or just get rid of them. At the moment there's so many PVE missions clogging up the queues that have not seen use for months or even years that they may as well just clear them out for some new ones.
I means I'v never played Breaking the Planet as it never had more than 2-3 players queued and I think Big Dig and Mine Trap are essentially dead since DR (they were pretty dead to start with).
Either revamp and improve the rewards to draw in players or get rid of them.
I've played mine trap a few times recently, but not post-dr. it's worth saying that mirror incursion has been sucking the life out of the other queues (repeating it every day over 20+ alts like some people are doing leaves little time for vampire killing) and i'm glad it's over.
One way to do mine trap is to lobby various channels to get 10 people or so and then go pug it on a weekend when lots of people are on. I was able to get the accolade from it this way.
that said, they could make a mine trap lite queue: 5 people, 1 zone, but otherwise the same premise. Since mine trap is 4 teams of 5 where each team does their own thing (if they know what they're doing) then this wouldn't be too hard. Big Dig would have to reduce npc numbers in a less elegant way, but it's still doable. 20 people queueing up for some old content just isn't possible.

I haven't been able to pug mine trap for about 8 months and big dig since dr. sigh
Big Dig i usually start solo. It's easy enough to finish even when playing alone. Check the private matches, i have seen big dig ongoing in there quite frequently.
Mine Trap however i have sadly not been able to do since DR. You need at least 4 capable players because of the 4 zones.
Breaking the planet i semi-pugged (started with 4 man team from fleet, other 16 joined while we were running). The rewards were not amazing though Pre-DR. It may have changed since DR though.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Nope. Haven't pugged it since DR. I got invited to a queue of it by a friend one time but that was it.
To be fair though I've never done a 'cold pug' of it either where I just queue for it and go--there are never enough people queued for it to pop--it was always a case of a semi-organized cluster of people in chat shouting "hey everbody queue for Mine Trap!" until enough people did, so there was already an element of willful communication to get it organized, even if it wasn't a premade.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
I haven't been able to play this one since they introduced the afk penalties. After that no one wanted to play it lol. Shame too since I really like Mine Trap.
I've done it a couple of times since the crafting system changed, but that's about it.
Just so you know, we're discussing the queued mission called "Mine Trap" where you have to shoot Salt zombies and save Romulan Civilians.
The Mine trap you're probably thinking about is the mission where you get the horta.

I used to love it. don't know why it suddenly died.
I would do it agian if people were q ing for it. the idea to make it a 5 man might work.

I have but only because the queue was nearly full and it turned out to be the advanced/elite version.
Sadly it failed not long into the game because one of the areas was overrun when people didn't stick to their zones.
Leading up to DR it saw a bit of a come back with the introduction of the rare material drops and it was fun again with it popping lots of times a day.
Then they added the cool down and it pretty much died and went back to it's lucky if it started once a week status.
Shame, this is my favourite mission in the game to date and would love to see it starting more often.
I like Mine Trap but as others have pointed out, it never has anyone in the Que anymore. Probably because of the bugs that never got fixed due to the fact that they don't happen all the time and maybe the devs can't replicate the error.
In my opinion, Mine Trap would become more active if it was a 10 player PVE rather than 20 player. May actually reduce the bugs as well idk.
Reduce the number of areas etc. that we have to defend etc. from 4 down to 2 (2 teams of 5 players trying to gain control etc of 2 areas).
Wishful thinking, but I like my idea more than doing away with Mine Trap altogether.

Big dig? just find 3-4 people and you're good to go in a private match. Make the private match public and people will join
