FYI for those Looking for Fluidic Coccoon Trait

taylor1701dtaylor1701d Member Posts: 3,099 Arc User
Within 3 days, the space trait 'Fluidic Coccoon', has gone from 4 mil ec on the exchange to 17-20 mil ec overnight. (I believe some exchange Ferengi bought up all of the Fluidic Cocoon Traits available on the exchange and reposted them for 17-20 mil ec each !)

There were only 2 pages available of the trait, and I believe the exchage ferengi are targetting this trait to exploit profits.

Get your's NOW before it becomes a +50 mil ec item.

Just wanted to warn people who may want it, to get it before its too late !

(This is the main reason we need a posting cap for the exchange of 10 per day MAX in order to DISCOURAGE this type of thing)
I know the people who work the exchange wont like this. But it needs to be done.

Are you certain you are not the Ferengi who purchased them all and is now using a fear-mongering tactic to get people to buy them for 17-20 million? :D

*runs off to buy them all for 20 million and repost them for 50 million* :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Or they could have, you know, expired and been returned to their posters. Seeing a price gap, they were relisted at a higher value. Or you know, it's on the uptick in the up/down cycle before all the undercutting begins again.

It's not me I swear ( Thats why Id like the posting cap of 10 items a day to the exchange)

I was just shocked when I looked it up again yesterday. 4mil to 17-20 mil

Really I just wanted to warn people who may want this useful trait.

Given there are so few of them on the exchange it is no wonder the price is going up rapidly..... supply <-> demand. Posting limit won't change that.

Yeah thats a good point, but I think someone is helping it along, by hoarding them.
Anyway, I dont have a big problem with it, but I was surprised so thought Id mention it here, in case anyone had planned to buy one.

I bought one for 17 mil last night for my final toon. Just in case the prices get way out of control. I can see this thing going to 50-75 mil in no time...

Hrm. And I've got five of these things in my bank. Cool.
Sardak (Science Officer): Captain of a 23k DPS R'Mor Temporal Science Vessel, R.R.W. Vathos
Odan Brota (Science Officer): Captain of a 28k DPS Scryer Intel Science Vessel, U.S.S. Kepler
Patiently waiting for a Romulan Science Vessel

What is this, the plasmonic leech of traits?
Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

No it's not worth even remotely as much as a plasmonic leech.

The 'plasmonic leech of traits' is more along the lines of Inspirational Leader or Helmsman. (Maybe Wing Commander but that one is generally overpriced. Oh, I see that the price of Helmsman and Wing Commander came down.)

    Fluidic Coccoon
When recieving kinetic dmg, you have 5% chance to add 5% energy dmg for a short time, can stack 5 times.

So its a very nice trait for energy weapon users.

Have you tried doing an Exchange Search under the "Lieutenant" filter? Because of some bad code, search hits tend to bring up listings that AREN'T really the lowest in Exchange unless you run it under the Lt. filter.

Of course they are. Some people spend all their time gaming the exchange. They just care about the profits and how many unopened bugships they own.
