New Intel Boffs

I don't know what the current ones are, though I only believe them to be available through the Delta Operations Pack (which not everyone is going to buy) or through mission rewards (such as Strax the Sontaran) - who we can't customize. :rolleyes:

Anyway, how about some more? Specifically not only Intel Boffs, but species we've not seen before (at least, as playable);

For the Federation, I would recommend the Xindi (Primate)

For the Klingon, I would recommend the Na'kuhl - there is reference to them in the KDF campaign or in the timeline, I know I've read about them having something to do with the KDF, so I'm not plucking them out of thin air.

For the Republic, I would recommend the Suliban

    You can pick up standard faction flavour Intel boffs from the boff recruiter and train them at boff trainer

    A standard Intel Boff has about as much appeal to me as a Common or Uncommon normal Boff; nill. :)

    If you want quality Intel boffs, you have to pay thru the nose to get them. It's a real shame.

    I was kinda hoping that Cryptic would at least add some Rom Intel officers to the Embassy (and perhaps use that opportunity to add the much-awaited trait diversity and customizable uniforms). But, alas.

    It's a real shame they didn't add the DR intel officers to the C-store at the very least...

    All the VR quality Intel boffs are limit 1 per character as well. So if you want a crew of Talaxian/Reman/Vulcan/whatever Intel officers, you are out of luck.

    As the owner of a new Sci ship with a commander Sci/Tac bridge slot, my only options are

    1. The Talaxian ( no interest in his space skill as it adds nothong to damage :-(

    2. Buy the $100 DR set ( but since I have already shelled out money for a T6 and the Intel uniforms - this is not worth it just for a BOff

    3. Use a 'standard' Boff... the ones I used when I was lev1-10, I shouldn't be expected to use them at lev 60 :eek:

    They should have been available to buy in the Zen store Intel ships NEED Intel officers

    If they were in the store, i'd buy them :o

    Now if only the Bridge Officer was Strax the Sontaran. We get his weaker and gullible cousin.

    and actually, after using the boffs for a while, I find only the surgical strikes and EMP probe remotely useful. the transport warhead worked well for a bit but something happened and it's no longer effective
