So I've been at level 60 for a week or so and I've discovered the following:
1: The NPCs in many STFs are "scaled" to the player. This means that at level 60 (due to the devs nerfing the points you get for killing things below your level) many NPCs will give you... wait for it.. 0 points. Nothing.
2: Due to the same nerf, the loot drops for level 60 players are now virtually non existent in many maps. Kill a tac cube, get 0 points for doing it and if you're lucky you get an engine battery. Thanks very much.
3: Even the new content like the Kobali ground zone or Bug Hunt elite STF has the same issue. I mean, thanks for my 10,000 small hypos but you'd think that elite ground NPCs would drop something better.
I'm sure people are going to pop up defending this nerf, but personally I see it as a bug - I don't think the devs actually intended for level 60 players to be worse off than players at level 59 but that's the consequence of the changes they made to the game. It was ill thought out and hastily done and I can only assume, like many have said before, that many of the game's development staff don't actually PLAY the game outside of "look at our shiny new content" live streams.
not *defending* anything but I have not seen any real difference in loot (in space). It seems to be within the "margin of error" given the random nature of random. I mean I got 2 XII purples in crystal yesterday, better than usual (often its XI). I got a blue off a tac cube in IC. My hold was filled with the usual green trash (I ran a bunch of stfs for the crafting crates last night). I had the usual "1/2 million" when I reached full and went to the vendor.
Loot seems untouched to me. And this was my 60 char, been 60 long enough to get 2 points.
Were they drops or did you manage to come "1st"? You always get two XII purples for coming first in Crystalline.
I've noticed that getting stuff on my 60 toons is terrible. I do a MI in any of my other toons (50-59) and get on average 7-12 items per MI run. My 60 toons get 1 maybe 2 items if lucky and usually one is a battery of some kind.
The XP is also off, apparently we are supposed to get more ship skill points now. Woofarkinhoo. Getting any XP seems to be limited to Argala or other patrols. Doing STF's and other content just doesn't seem to give anything.
Chris Robert's on SC:
"You don't have to do something again and again and again repetitive that doesn't have much challange, that's just a general good gameplay thing."

I knew it wasn't just me. It's a shame we probably won't get an official view from the devs on this, just player comments. I'd pop it in the bug reports section but I'd get swamped with people "helpfully" saying that Cryptic did it deliberately. I know they made a deliberate change but I'm not 100% convinced they INTENDED for all the loot drops and spec XP to be nerfed to zero in maps where you're forced to fight scaled-up NPCs - which is nearly all of them when you're a level 60 player. Don't believe me? Go and try to farm in Ker'rat for half an hour as a level 60 player and see what slim pickings you come away with.

It's been broken since the 10/23 patch and looks like will be here to say. Cryptic dont care about players just mo' MONEY
It isn't just level 60 unfortunately, I'm 53 at the moment and I'm getting the same thing, lots of hypos, batteries and the like but hardly ever a weapon, shield or ship item like a console or weapon.
It's inverse difficulty scaling. You get nothing in terms of additional skills yet the difficulty of enemies goes up. Counting those little buffs you get for each level above lvl 50 isn't the same as adding points to your 'whatever' skill in the skill tree.
I see it as false advertising in the level description above lvl 50.
the point about crystal is it seems to be XII all the time now which sort of scaled UP. Before I got a lot of XI purples. I realize they are not drops. The drops scale up at 60, I get almost entirely XII even the whites and greens. They are worth more each.
Its hard to say. I agree that in general there seems to be less loot since the patch. I disagree that it is some bug at 60. I get about the same amount on my not yet 60s as I do on my main.
I do a mix of stuff from old missions to the DR chain to STFS and mirror runs depending on what each toon needs and what I feel like doing. MU for sure seems to be giving less loot. The rest of it, I am not sure at all... I did a round of rom patrol of gamma E and got a hold full of loot like always @ 60 (Its a great place to test out aoe builds.. )

There is a couple of foundry missions you still get plenty of loot on.

Or at least on advanced where everyone is scaled up to 60?

Now shaddup about the queues, it's a BUG
