Nukara - Hyper-Dual Refracting Tetryon Beam

Anyone tried this beam with the nukara munitions set? Is the BFAW and BO refracting any good? I know a lot of people dont like tetryons but the bonus refracting sounds interesting.

    I keep thinking of trying it on a science heavy carrier.
    Pop a grav well 3, TS of grivi torps, FaW with whatever refracting beams can come to bear, and let widow fighters FaW with more Tet arrays.
    It sounds fun, but I'm not sure how well it would work.

    The 2 or 3 piece set bonus lets the beam refract BO and BFAW. Its sounds awesome but I dont know if it actually works pretty well.

    Unfortunately it doesn't proc very often, most beam weapons with the 2.5% proc rate simply don't do it often enough. Take the new Phased Biomatter for example, I rarely if ever see those do their AE proc and I think that's the inherent weakness of beams. For beams they really need to increase the proc rates to 5% because cannons go off like crazy from what I've seen. It's part of the weakness of beams.

    Yes I am using this and I am happy using it along with its bonus. You do need the full set, plus extras matching beams to get the full proc out of it. Then you can also increase it with another console/weapon with its pre-amp from omega/taskforce from the rep system. To really watch the light show begin.

    i use this set on my science officer who is klingon and flies a carrier (wierd i know but it works ..) anyhow it does well :)
