They'll try moving the lander, but they say its very risky, and could bounce right of the comet due to low G. But they have to give it a shot, it only has a few days of internal Battery life.
Been glued to my Twitter feed all night. ESOC managed to pull off a 35 degree rotation, and looks like the larger of Philae's solar panels is now facing into sunlight. They also received the first lot of telemetry from the lander, indicating the drilling was a success amongst all the other experiments they did. Main focus I imagine now is ensuring that Philae has a decent power supply from those panels . Will try post more updates as I get them!

Philae's batteries have reached critical . ESOC says that it's systems will now shut down and try to keep the lander warm so that any incoming sunlight in the future can be used to recharge the little guy and do more awesome science.
Been a really amazing evening on twitter, no doubt the guys and girls at ESA will be looking over the data sent back already. A huge success story for them .

Wow, Philae is the probe that just won't die. ESA still receiving telemetry for CONCERT data and got another ROLIS image, so we've got imaging from three different sites now. Going to be really gutted when this little fella goes to sleep!

I just hope the drilling sample data got uploaded in time.
Not sure why you care if I capitalize "Battery" ...
