STO Ship Comparison Spreadsheet V4.6.3 - All Tiers + Small Craft + Hangar Pets

This ship comparison spreadsheet is designed to provide a slightly better graphical approach to comparing ships. While other ship comparison spreadsheets tend to list the same information, it is usually in a format that makes it tedious to read. My goal with this is to make it very easy to see the differences in a side-by-side format.

This is a Google Spreadsheet, so you will need to make your own copy to use the pages that let you choose which ships to compare side by side. Instructions how to do this are included in the spreadsheet.

I wouldn't lump the T5U ships in with the T6 data. They're rather different, especially considering there is a different between T5U-10 and T5U-11.

I kind of miss having separate tabs for categories like all Fed cruisers, all the Romulan Warbirds etc.

When we have solid data, will you include Upgrade costs in this sheet?

T6, T5U-10/11, etc... Basically I'm lumping together ships you can use from levels 50 through 60 without getting too involved in the minor differences between them.

The real reason I had to make a new spreadsheet was to take advantage of everything offered in the "New" Google Sheets, particularly the increased calculation speed since the original spreadsheets were starting to get very slow, especially the T5 with almost 200 ships. Removal of all those separate tabs was one side affect. However, I am considering adding in another sheet that will allow filtering so you can see just T4 Fed Cruisers or whatever category you want. I'm uncertain when I will find time to do it though. But since you request it, I am inclined to add it sooner than later.

Off Topic:
The R&D spreadsheet will be getting the recipes for the craftable upgrade things (I don't remember what they're called). I also plan to eventually toss in a list of the R&D doffs to help people find those on the exchange. By upgrade costs, do you mean like to take a Mk X rifle up to Mk XI? I'm not yet sure what all that would require, but I'll hold on to the idea. I'm still trying to find time to get the T5-U ship data.

Ugh.. tell me about it.. I've been waiting ages for them to upgrade all existing sheets to the "new" sheets so I can take advantage of the increased Conditional Formatting allowed in them for my Dyson Doffing sheet.

"Spreadsheets created in the old version of Sheets will eventually be converted to the new Sheets, which wont require any action on your part. More details coming soon."

It's been 6 months and I'm still waiting. They don't even have a manual upgrade button.

Yeah like a cell for [Type # of TP required to upgrade to next level] and then next to that it'll spit out the number of Basic, Improved, or Superior Tech Upgrade items you'd need to apply to it, how much EC to craft them, and how much dilithium to apply them.

Basic: 2000 TP, 700 Dilithium; 2.8571428571428571428571428571429 TP per dil
Improved: 5000 TP, 950 Dilithium; 5.2631578947368421052631578947368 TP per dil
Superior: 12800 TP, 1075 Dilithium; 11.906976744186046511627906976744 TP per dil

It seems right now that there might be too much variability in the different prices to upgrade different types of gear (consoles, space weapons, warp cores, ground armor, etc.) at different mark levels to different qualities so you might have no choice but to just let the player manually enter how much TP the upgrade window tells them they need for the next upgrade.

I just modified the spreadsheet to provide a filter by faction and category, like Fed Cruisers, KDF Raiders, etc. You can find this on each tier's comparison sheet. Now I just need to improve the accuracy of the categories... some are still from back when I lumped everything into escorts, cruisers, and science vessels. Let me know how well it works for you.

Version 1.2 adds in the Guardian Cruiser, Dauntless, Mat'Ha Raptor, and Aehalh Warbird stats. The Mat'Ha is a beast compared to the other Raptors.

After spending quite a bit of time buying and deleting ships on Tribble, I now have almost all of the T5-U ship stats.

If anyone would like to help get the last of the T5-U info for me, I still need info for the following 11 fleet ships:

- Fleet Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit
- B'rel Fleet Bird-of-Prey Retrofit
- Fleet Corsair Flight Deck Cruiser Retrofit
- Fleet HoH'SuS Bird-of-Prey
- Fleet Kamarag Battlecruiser Retrofit
- Fleet Kar'Fi Battle Carrier
- Fleet Negh'Var Heavy Battle Cruiser
- Fleet Vo'Quv Carrier
- Varanus Fleet Support Vessel
- Fleet Ha'feh Assault Warbird
- Fleet Ha'nom Guardian Warbird

On Tribble you will find the required information on the ship upgrade window. This includes:
- base hull at levels 50 and 60 (##,### ~ ##,###)
- the console slots
- the mastery package components

V1.3 adds as many of the Delta Rising ships as I could get info about. I am still missing info for 1 T5 Fed Fleet ship, 2 T5 Rom Fleet ships, and most T3+ KDF Fleet ships.

Since changing the filter is the equivalent of editing the spreadsheet, you need to make your own copy of the spreadsheet, and use that.

K, thanks. Googledocs should let you change the filter without downloading the document, but I guess you have to logon to do that.

The formulas still work, or should. Usually if they stop working, it has something to do with Google's scripts or the browser or internet lag. Either reload, make a fresh copy, or close it down and open it up later. Google Sheets is a great way to make and share spreadsheets like this, but sometimes we get quirks that cause it to temporarily stop working. I'm not trying to pass the buck, it's just I've had the same thing happen once or twice. Good luck.

Google documents are not usually files you download to your computer. Rather, they are files kept in the Google cloud. To make a copy of this spreadsheet for you to use, you need to have a Google account with Google Drive activated.

Google Drive: https://drive.google.com

When you make a copy of this spreadsheet while logged into Google, the copy gets saved to your Google Drive. You can then open that copy, and make whatever changes to it you want to make.

V1.3.2 is now available. I added the Tuffli and Suliban Cell Ship (Both tier 1), and corrected numerous small errors another player was kind enough to point out.

I'm using office 2013, and I simply cannot get the drop down menu for the faction to change the ship listings for that faction. Can you help me out and just tell me what the stats are on a t5u fleet ha'nom guardian warbird: shields, turn, consoles, boff slots, hull?
