Any sentence starting like this doesn't make sense in Star Trek, since we don't use money in the future, or at least not Dollars and Cents.
So, what would people say instead?
"If I had a mark in my Bat'leth for every time a Klingon questioned my honor because of my Starfleet career, I could brush my hair with it" - Worf
"If I had a slip of Latinum for every time someone accused me of fraud or cheating, I would own half a moon!" - Cousin Galen "But don't you own an entire moon, Cousin?" - Rom
"You think I commit fraud just for a single slip of latinum?" - Cousin Galen.
Any other ideas?
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
It's also established in canon that cliches regarding money have lasted to atleast the 23rd century, since Kirk told Scotty he "Earned his pay" several times. (Practically, it's because the whole "money doesn't exist in the future" thing first came about in Star Trek IV. When the show was running, people just assumed the characters were getting paid.)
I wouldn't think about that too much. If you really think about it, Federation society has two types of people: those with real jobs (Starfleet, Scientific Institutes, Government positions, etc.) and those with either no job or an incredibly obsolete one (like a grape farmer using hand tools). The people in the practical jobs work for status rather than money, ie the Ensign wants to one day become an Admiral, so that makes sense. Regardless, there are enough resources on hand that everyone can have pretty much whatever they need no matter what their status is.
In short, it's a government dictatorship that just keeps people happy on replicated bread and holographic circuses, and is one energy crises away from being complete and total tyranny.
Like the warp core which goes faster than the speed of light violates presently known laws of physics, the society which is supposed to have learned from future human experience actually violates current human experience.
But the Federation is supposed to be the good guys, so don't think about it too much.
We still say things like 'putting the cart in front of the horse' despite having cars now, or 'earn your shilling' despite decimalisation.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

'...I can tell you that we're not in the military and that we intend no harm to the whales.' Kirk: The Voyage Home
'Starfleet is not a military organisation. Its purpose is exploration.' Picard: Peak Performance
'This is clearly a military operation. Is that what we are now? Because I thought we were explorers!' Scotty: Into Darkness
'...The Federation. Starfleet. We're not a military agency.' Scotty: Beyond
'I'm not a soldier anymore. I'm an engineer.' Miles O'Brien: Empok Nor
'...Starfleet could use you... It's a peacekeeping and humanitarian armada...' Admiral Pike: Star Trek
Point of order: Earth doesn't use money, not the whole Federation. Therefore it's perfectly reasonable for Eleya, who is Bajoran (phekk'ta humanocentrists) to say the following sentence in The Wrong Reflection chapter two:
Theoretically it’s impossible to have an accident with every air vehicle in the city fully computer-piloted, but if I had a credit for every time the phrase “theoretically impossible” was juxtaposed with some version of “oh, phekk”, I could retire.

If I had 5,000 wrappages of Cardassian yamok sauce every time Broik was left in charge of ordering, I'd trade them for 100 gross of self-sealing stem bolts which I might get lucky with and trade for seven tessipates of land on Bajor, which perhaps I could then shift for five bars of gold pressed latinum.

Did Archer ever /facepalm? I know the other captains did, but I can't remember if Archer did.
A GIS reveals nothing.
Err, I mean regarding Archer/Bakula facepalming. There are of course revealing pics on GIS, there always are.
